You can connect INZONE H9 Headset to your PC via the supplied USB transceiver, simply slide the switch of the USB transceiver to PC and establish a connection. If the device does not recognize the headset microphone, make sure the slide switch of the USB transceiver is set correctly. Connect the USB transceiver directly to the computer or PS5, and not via a USB hub.

Posted .Hi JohnC, we are truly sorry to hear the the microphone of your Sony - INZONE H9 headsets stopped working, this is not the experience we want you to have, here are some useful steps you can try to troubleshoot the problem:
1- Make sure your headset is up to date using the INZONE Hub software that you can download on your computer.
2- Connect the headset to different devices to make sure it is not the device that is restricting the mic.
3- Do a microphone test through the INZONE Hub, and also try to adjust the mic volume to be higher.
4- Initialize the headset to restore factory settings, this operation resets volume settings, etc. to the factory settings, and deletes all pairing information, you can do this following the instructions here: https://helpguide.sony.net/mdr/295960/v1/en/contents/TP1000670454.html

It has a nice set of features, looks good, has a great build, and performs well. Further, it has the add of ANC and it just sounds good. It is extremely comfortable and easy to wear, generally, and for an extended duration. It sits well on my head, and while it feels secure, it isn’t too tight. Not too much pressure. All good for glasses as well. The padding on the headband and cups is thick, soft, and comfortable. Cup rotation and headband adjustments are easy and smooth. No issues here, I think most would feel the same. Everything is solid and nicely put together, and they feel good in the hand. A nice weight that won’t get heavy on your head after some time. There are some LED light rings on the sides of the cans that shine either blue or white depending on your connection. The mic has a nice swivel, and some flex to it, which I really like, but it is not removable. I get it, but it is a bit of a bummer for me. The controls are more or less standard and what you would expect. On the left side there is an ANC/Ambient mode button, a USB-C charging port, and a volume rocker. On the other there is a power button, bluetooth button, and an independent chat voice volume button. I think these are all done mostly well, but maybe the volume button could be “out” a little more to make it easier to access. Connectivity is great, with both bluetooth and 2.4 Ghz options. I have had rock solid performance, and minimal delay. I can roam around about 15-20 feet and not have any trouble with interference or cracking sound. I’ve just had zero issues here. As for the styling, I do like it, and I “see” what they are going for here. Mostly plain, white, and black, clean looking, with some subtle LED use. I do have to say I would probably really love to see these in all black, but again, on some level they are going for a PlayStation match. I should note they are a bit “big looking.” Nothing crazy, but they are not some sleek, tiny cans. I think this is good, as I think fit should not be an issue for those with small ears or those with big ears. Both comfort and seal should be great across the board. It hasn’t seemed to be a thing in gaming headsets, but I like the add of ANC, especially given Sony’s prowess here. I think it is done well. It may not get everything, but rather most of those steady consistent sounds around you. This is my first headset with it, but I like it. In some ways, you get a bit more immersed. On the flipside, Ambient mode is also done well, and works as expected. The mic is…solid. Frankly, it isn’t the best (TY HS 80), but it is good. It will work for you, and no one will complain. At this price, I would have liked to see better, but it is on par with most, and it is not a major issue for me. Just something to note. As for sound, well, it is very good. I should clarify all of my experience is with my PC, so keep that in mind with all of my thoughts. I think these cans sound great out of the box, but the software you can pair with them is fantastic on the computer side. There are quite a few customization options that you should definitely explore to dial the headset in to your tastes. However, as I said earlier, they just sound good. Full stop. Everything is detailed, clean, with minimal distortion, not tinny, not muddled. Good. Ultimately, I really like this headset, and I think it would be an easy purchase for most gamers. Very, very, comfortable, it sounds great, has nice features, and has a look I think many would appreciate. I feel like Sony put a lot of the good they have going on with their lifestyle WH-1000XM line into this. My only pause would be if you “need” the “best” mic, which this does not have.

Not worth any money

They were good at first, but an issue came up that Sony support, factory resetting, and upgrading couldn’t fix. Everything would just become highly distorted or cut out entirely. I loved their Bluetooth headphones so i expected similar quality, but that’s not what i got out of these. Seriously, buy anything else.

H9s are absolute Garbage

I pre-ordered these headsets in great anticipation because they were made for the PS5 of which I have 2 of. I have used a variety of headsets including the Turtle Beach Elite 800 and the Astro a50s. Compared to the Astros the Sony H9 are absolute garbage. They make you think the sound is going to be so great. They make you download an app that has you take a picture of each one of you ears as part of the setup. Within 30 minutes of completing the setup and jumping off into several games of Cold War I knew the headsets were worthless for playing COD and I am returning them. I setup a custom game and found I could only hear footsteps at half the range I could with the Astros. In the custom game the account on the second PS5 had no dead silence on and I was totally shocked how much further away I could hear footsteps with the Astro a50s. So if you play COD don't waste your money on the H9s. And yes I am extremely sure they were set up correctly. I would rate the H9s as the worst headset I have ever had. They will be the first ones I have ever returned.

The INZONE H9 noise cancelling headsets are designed with 360 Spatial Sound for Gaming and our proven hardware technology, so you can detect where your opponents are and how far away. Even players hiding in shadows, or behind walls and obstacles, can’t stay hidden for long.
To experience 360 Spatial Sound for Gaming, this feature must be turned on while using the INZONE Hub PC software. Make sure you also setup the Spatial Sound Personalization correctly.

After completing the INZONE Hub software setup, other settings can also work when the software isn't running, such as when the headphones are connected to the PlayStation®5 or a Bluetooth® device.
