Sony almost created something too good!

Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.So if you were a fan of the xm4s and loved the sonund but wished they could have been a little less thick or less fat...this is the answered prayer to that request. The Linkbuds S gives you the lightest and smallest High Res audio earphone in the world. They sit in your ears very well and even flat enough to lay down in them. The sound quality with EQ abilities gives you the same options you have wirh the Xm4s. Some say a little better balance is heard in these vs the xm4 but I dont hear enough difference to truly believe I. would look back and miss either one and that's big for this model as it is cheaper. In fact, the only thing I would say might bother some is the lack of wireless charging and maybe a few hours less on total battery life. Personally anything over 5+6 hours is good and anything over that is just icing on the cake. Other than that you got the hear through options and touch controls like tje xm4s as well. But the biggest plus and shock is how much better these are vs any other earphone on the market at taking phone calls. The voice quality is at the top of the market for earphone. Sony truly worked its magic with the microphone array on this earphone. These things are even better than brands like Jabra which is sayjng a lot. So buy with the confidence that you truly have a true All arounder.

Solid Mid-Range Buds! Too expensive @ $200 though

They are a solid mid-range set of buds, light in the hand but feel well made (I wouldn't say feel premium, just ok) but regardless of this and the lack of wireless charging or multipoint connection (neither of which I care about) the SOUND is great. Subjective? of course... but even the novice mainstream music listener can appreciate these set of buds. They are not for everyone, but the small form factor, good Sony Headphones Connect App and very good sound are an easy recommendation at say... $150-$175 max. They are not $200 worthy, but as a Sony fan and Sony supporter... I'll let it slide. I would suggest looking out for discounts though. These would be an easy 5 stars if the price would reflect their worth. But... my opinion and these are certainly good enough.

Lightest hi-fi earbuds on the market

The sound quality is quite good (nearly as good as the WF-1000XM4). The ANC and transparency mode are pretty decent, and I've found both these features really useful, especially when I'm outdoors. Sony's app has been useful too (there, you can customize the touch buttons and pick different EQ presets). The battery life is a bit longer than the one advertised if you don't use the ANC or transparency mode feature; overall, you'll have six hours plus the 14 hours you get from the case. The case is smaller than the ones I owned before, which makes it easier for me to carry them in my pocket and the earbuds fit perfectly in my ears (I'm not sure I'd recommend these for physical activities, though). I'd definitely recommend these to anyone looking for nice, comfy, stylish earbuds.

Worked Great for a Year

The most important thing about these earbuds is that after about 14 months, the battery in the left bud is shot. Battery life for the left bud is about 20 minutes if I'm being generous. The right bud has not seen a reduction in battery life. The ANC works as well or better than the Bose Quiet Comfort II's that I own. The sound quality is also really good. I never had a problem with fit. The touch controls can be a little finicky and sometimes answering a call through the touch controls did not work. Phone calls are really clear and the mic on these buds eliminates background noise much better than the Bose QCII. Other features available in the app felt superfluous and gimmicky probably because I didn't need them. In all, I like the buds but i paid too much for them to only last 14 months. Sony customer support suggested sending them for repair on my dime but could not guarantee that the other bud would not have similar issues at some point. Buy them if you want to pay 200 bucks for disposable earbuds.

For optimum performance, it is recommended to install the latest software version of the headphones (via the Sony Headphones Connect app). The app also allows you to fully utilize the capabilities of the LinkBuds S.
To operate the touch sensor, tap the center of the touch sensor with the pad of your index finger. When tapping the touch sensor 2 or 3 times, tap it quickly with an interval of about 0.3 seconds between taps. For more information, please refer to this link:

My Favorite Earbuds

Both with sound and comfort. Especially size. The size of these earbuds are rivaled only by Raycon E25s and the Linkbuds sound significantly better. I removed star because i have had issues with one of the earbuds producing a wind-like noise when ANC or Ambient mode is active. This is apparently a common issue. Otherwise, I still love these.

Great bang for the buck.

Has decent ANC, light weight, battery life is good, and does not fall out too easily. They dont stick out alot on my ear. My only gripe is that the app is not the greatest. Sometimes it doesnt even connect the earbuds to my phone. Overall these earbuds are decent for the price.

Sony Strikes with a GREAT earbud!

Very solid earbuds that are lightweight and extremely comfortable. One of my wife's biggest complaints is some of the connections with her iphone--her phone doesn't always connect to the earbuds when she is answering her phone while listening to music or audiobook. I tried these out as well and came very close to purchasing a pair for myself. Sound is GREAT with solid noise cancellation (better than those iphone products with the highest reviews--at least that is based on my experience with both). Fantastic microphone with phone calls as well. I was very impressed that these small LinkBuds S sound incredibly similar to my XM1004 over the ear headphones. Well done Sony!

Good AirPod Pros Alternative

I didn’t want to buy another pair of AirPod pros as they were 250 at the time so I went and got these which were around 100 at the time. The audio quality on them is pretty great and it’s about on par with the AirPod Pros. Definitely download the app that goes with them so you can get the most out of the headphones. I do wish it had better battery life but the earbuds are still really great overall and I would recommend them to someone who wants something similar to AirPods Pro but doesn’t want to spend that much.

Quality Rivals AirPods, Sans Ear Irritation.

Owned for 1 week when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Up until purchasing this pair of LinkBuds S earbuds, I have been on a desperate hunt for some sleek, truly wireless earbuds that actually cooperate with my ears since having been disappointed by the first and second generation AirPods Pros. The AirPods Pros, for context, have consistently irritated my ears during use, hypothetically due to something in the material composition that triggers severe reactions within my ear canals. This issue has been heavily documented across multiple popular online forums, including Apple's own discussion forums, and unfortunately Apple has done nothing to address this issue, even after having released a second iteration, so it was time to move on. I took a break from earbuds in general and settled with the Sony WH-1000XM4s for a bit, which were refreshing. Now, entering the realm of the LinkBuds S. My motivation in trying these out was getting the same Sony quality with the XM4s, but in a smaller sleeker package that HOPEFULLY doesn't aggravate my ears, and honestly I'm glad I've given these a chance. So far, these earbuds have been really good in the sound quality and noise cancelling department, and more importantly, have been immensely comfortable to wear in my ears for long music listening sessions. The battery life has also been really good. My only minor complaint is that the LinkBuds from time to time may have moments where the audio stutters, presumably due to Bluetooth signal strength, but 99% of the time it maintains a stable connection so I wouldn't let this discourage you from buying the LinkBuds. Ultimately, these earbuds are worth it. Giving these a 5 star rating; these aren't even the flagship WF-1000XM4 earbuds, yet they smoke the AirPods Pros. Insanely good value, especially with the sale going on at the time of writing for $50 off, highly recommend picking these up if you're on the decisionmaking fence.
