Thought this would be a great option as an additional battery charger as well as field power source. I was partially correct. For some reason once the batteries on the unit charge they don’t stay charged... I’ll leave a battery on it to charge which it does but once fully charged if I don’t remove I’ve seen it seem to begin to discharge... I’ll go to swap a battery from it to use in the camera and it’s charge level many times will read below 100 percent (which I never have that prob with the single battery charger) most of the time between 92-97percent. Also noticed that it seems that it won’t charge the batteries at the same time. It will charge each one separately. So as a battery charger I do not recommend. But for as an extended period power supply it’s ok. (If you get it at the accesory bundled discount price- since it comes with 2 “Z” batteries) Not at that $400 amount.

Worth the price....solidly made and can charge 4 Z batteries simultaneously. Seriously to be considered if your on a long safari or adventure
