    Expensive, but totally reliable battery. I’ve tried MANY off-brand batteries, but if you are shooting 4K the Sony batteries are superior in terms of battery life.

    Ive used a lot of brands of batteries for my sony mirrorless cameras but kothing has beat the battery life and build of the Sony brand batteries. Costs more but its absolutely worth it!

    They are very durable and never has anything go wrong with it, i bought 5 and they will usually last me a whole entire day filming

  • Long Lasting, Worth the Money

    Might be expensive, but you get what you pay for. Battery is long lasting and durable. Works perfect for filming on the Sony A7iii. Bought 3 of these, and they're more than enough even on long shooting days. Been on some 8 hour video shoots, and I've never had to charge a battery.

    Love these. I only buy Sony batteries for my Sony cameras. They seem to last really long (about 6 hours of broll) on the Sony a7rV. They charge fairly quickly as well.

    You can save money with third-party batteries, but why take the chance....especially when you consider how much you spend on a Sony mirrorless camera body. With genuine Sony batteries, I never worry if my battery will not perform well or that it will possibly damage my camera. Plus I don't have to worry about error messages popping up which I understand can occur when using third-party batteries. The peace of mind for me makes it worth the cost. I bought this as a second battery for my Sony battery grip for all-day shooting at airshows. I prefer buying from Best Buy, knowing it's a genuine Sony product and not a counterfeit.

    SONY's battery works as expected. I purchased this battery as a backup on a vacation. I did not need to use it very often. The included, identical battery that came with the camera lasted almost all day, every day. For days when I shot video and took pictures from morning to late night, I needed to switch over to the backup. I would suggest purchasing a battery charger that can charge at least 2 batteries at once, that way you can have both batteries charging overnight while you sleep. :)

    Coming from the old np-fw50, this is much better, I know it's pricey for a battery, but last just as long as 3 of the old ones. I could of gone generic but you never know with firmware updates, better to be safe than sorry !
