Very nice looking Microphone and will certainly be perfect for many with less demanding needs, but did not fit our particular needs. We needed something more professional and more powerful for our podcasts. Returned it to BestBuy with no problems.

This microphone is great for beginners. It is important to consider that you need an external power and almost the only way to get one is through a portable recorder.

replacement for one I had for a couple of years. wire connection isn't as sturdy as I'd like, but if you're careful it will last a while.

Maybe it's a little overpriced at plus 20 bucks; I suspect it's a bit more delicate because of the cheapness of the parts than it is delicate because it is a finely tuned instrument. But I've had no problems with it thus far. Working great as another mike for me with audio recording. Good stuff.

Although this mic has decent sound quality for the price, it may not be picked up on different recording systems (for some strange reason)...

I purchased this item before and I wanted another one. I love to do interviews, but hate holding a hand microphone; so this was the best inexpensive option. I strong recommend it for indoors use if you are filming a project.

The sound capturing is immaculate, it catches every sound especially a sigh from a distance of 3 feet. Even the most gentle sound can be heard on it. I'm actually impressed for the price it's at. It's good for a start!

I used this microphone for a Parabolic mic for wildlife listening, while my other mic was out of commission. It worked well, Has a good range to not only record the high chirps of certain animals, but was able to pick up low growls and bull frogs from over 100 yards away.

A functional microphone for the price. The surround noise interferes and sometimes you can not hear a person talk through it.

They really need to not just advertise the project better to show its real size, but make sure it actually works! I'm very disappointed!

It's a fine mic. It needs a pre-amp which doesn't come with it and they don't elucidate that need. Otherwise, fine mic.

We used this with a digital recorder to capture audio during a video interview. We did not want a wireless mic, so this fed audio flawlessly to the recorder.

The only bad thing about this microphone is the fact it doesn't have something to block noise from things like breathing or won't. Other than that really solid.

I've used this microphone for conferencing for an organization I am part of and it works great! It really picks voices up really well also! You don't even have to wear it, just have it near you!

Sony is always a good brand and they put out great products. This is no exception. Works great. Fidelity is very good, coverage is very good. No issue whatsoever.
