Amazing quality of video and product. Very professional looking. Camera feels solid and goes with you anywhere. Color is like a Nikon which is the look and feel I want . Blown away in detail and sharpness of video. Very well done in low light. Almost no dots or noise visible in low light. Easy to record and start filming. Can connect a separate lcd with an hdmi cable. Can also connect a control to zoom and take pictures. The only thing is the focus. Kinda slow. But I tested other cameras like the Canon. They are slow too at focusing. But will eventually focus just fine. At night it's hard to auto focus. Just make sure you have a light so the sensor can focus. Otherwise you will have to manually focus to get better and quick results.

The SonyCX900 shoots both in the AVCHD and XAVCS 50 Mbps bitrate recording and has really clear sound with the provided microphone...Video is really crisp in the XAVCS and AVCHD format...this is a great next step camcorder from a consumer model...the only con is the np50 supplied battery is short lived during shoots..around 45 minutes...easy fix though just purchase the np70 or 100..I also like the select color mode whereas everything in the video is black and white except the chosen color( red ,green , yellow or blue)...if you choose blue everything is black and white except the blue sky and any nearby blue objects!!! My purchase was an open box item and I got a really good price on it !!!

This video camera has very high quality picture. The problem is that not everyone has high tech players yet. ACHDVD is awesome, but you have to have that type of player to play them. Will also have to upgrade your programs in order to put movie onto DVD, Blueray, etc... The camera is great for sound and quality, they camera does not have much for a zoom capability, You are not able to take the SD card out and use it to transfer video onto your pc. Jpg transfer fine, but you need the camera hooked up to the pc in order to transfer any video. I dont like that at all. Great camera, very expensive. Yes and NO reasons to buy.

I use it to video my kids sports. It gives me a nice sharp clear video. Only down side is that it takes some time to focus when I change the focal distance. I was used to the quick auto focus of small 1/3” type sensors.

I bought this camera for a variety of uses and couldn't be happier... Some accessories are hard to use because Sony is very proprietary

I bought this camera for youtube videos and the quality is more than acceptable in most situations Lowlight performance is some of the best I have seen in these type of cameras, but it's still not up to par with some high tech equipment. The 50 bit recording is amazing under certain conditions.

The Sony HDR CX900 has "Literally" opened the door to the world of professional digital videography at an affordable price.. Even better when you catch a sale.. If that happens, you should beg, borrow or whatever to buy this unit while it is still available.. Sony store site is out of stock as of 7/14/15. Sony let the "Cat out of the bag" with this incredible device.. I personally own 3 of them for Multi-Cam shoots that I do most often.. I have to say, the CX900 has placed my work in the upper shelf of results. I am so inspired creatively because of the quality images this unit produces. I have very professional features on this camera , allowing me to approach industry acceptable production. This camera is a low budget producers best chance to upgrade their production quality by leaps and bounds. The days of microwave size cameras are slowly drifting away.. Technology is allowing big things to come out of small packages.. Although, this unit has some very noticeable weight to it.. It feels very solid and well built. As I end this review, I can't help mentioning that the CX900 allows me to shoot in 24p which is very well done and produces the exact desired look I want. I'm finished.. You need to make up your mind and purchase this unit as soon as you can!

This camera is amazing and very similar to the sony 4K, you will have full HD on it and the zoom works for more than 100' without loosing quality. I recommend this camera for whatever job you want to with excellent quality.

The biggest reason why I bought this camcorder is its large 1" sensor. It has excellent low light performance close to the professional class. The color is very vivid. The operation is easy than most of the consumer camcorder since there are many physical button you can use. The focus seems slower than those small camcorder but acceptable. The only thing I wish to this camcorder is to add sharpness adjustment since its pictures seems not that sharp to me.

Absolutely awesome camcorder. I have no need at this time for 4k. So for an HD camera, you won't be disappointed!

Bought this camera to replace my jvc camcorder, this camera records nice crisp video and the wi-fi is awesome cant get enough

I've only used this camcorder once so far but it got the job done. I like how it captures the video in two different formats - one high quality and one that's Web based for websites such as Facebook. If you're accustomed to Sony camcorders, the menu and interface will be familiar to you. I will be curious to see how it does in other situations, but so far, I'm happy with the purchase.

Still teaching myself how to operate camcorder. So far its great. I love that you can select to not hear my conversation while recording... no background noise.

I use this at live events and it's easy to use and good quality. Would have liked built in memory but other than that it works well.

It's not your beginner camera, but wow what a sweet camera. Great colors and uses for all your needs features you will want.
