DO NOT BUY!
I’ve had this thing 1 week or so and I’m pretty sure it broke under normal condition of putting it on. My heads not that big and I thought it just expanded that way but I was wrong.
On top of that it disconnects regularly.
Horrible head set.

3 months in and the right side failed just trying to put the headphones on, not stretching them apart far or anything, Apparently a known issue with with this line of headphones. Sony's solution is for you to ship the failed headphones back to them for "repair" which will take a month. No exchange, no credit, no refund, just get the same broken, poorly designed product back.

I should have listened to the other reviews. The headband snapped on the side where the padded adjustable piece attaches. I have only owned this headset for 4 months. Buy something else or buy with a replacement warranty.

Bought my headset less than a year ago. Head band snapped with minimal aggression. I’m very protective and gentle with my head gear. Very cheaply made!

Incredible sound and after setting up the sound profile in the Playstation settings I heard gaming sounds that just were non existent before, incredible for emersion.
Comfort is A+ and a huge part of why I'd recommend them besides sounding amazing. Don't expect your ears to be overwhelmed with huge sound, its more of an enhanced mid-high experience than loud.
Overall I'd say you will enjoy the sound and fit, which if we're being honest, are the most important parts to a gaming headset. The negative though is the connection is not great and has repeated disconnects. Sure you can hardwire but its incredibly frustrating losing sound in the middle of matches, and for me specifically racing. Hard to maintain emersion when your experience is muted without having to disconnect and reconnect the dongle, which on the Pro is only located on the back.
Great headset, with a caveat, possibly major...

Range is not great and gets interference from other 2.4ghz devices. Called dirty band for a reason, right? Work around can include disabling 2.4ghz on WiFi; however, some devices do not work over 5ghz possibly limiting work arounds. Battery life is impressive, very comfortable, and when connection is great, audio is great. Value is a key point here. More expensive sets don’t come with a case or the charging cradle. Feels like Sony missed the mark here with requiring the dongle and should be built into the PlayStation for a more seamless experience. Could still include the dongle if you wanted to use elsewhere. Had one headset crack after a few months use. Would still recommend but by no means the crème de la crème if that is what you are looking for.

I like them, they have great sound and do a good job at make me feel more immersed in my games. The battery life is also excellent. My major complaint is how they slide off of my head if I happen to tilt it back or even forward, even just slightly. Maybe my head is just to small or something, I don't know though because they fit fine otherwise. I actually like how I don't have to adjust them.
I got them on sale for Black Friday, and even then at $129 I still feel like they're a bit expensive, but they are super comfortable. I like the way they cup over my ears and I can actually wear them for a couple of hours and have no pain. They're also super easy to connect to the PS5 and Portal.

I’ve been using the PlayStation Pulse Elite with my PS5 and the experience has been amazing. The audio quality is extremely clear, with deep bass and precise directional sound that really helps in competitive games. The wireless connection via PlayStation Link is fast and stable, with no noticeable lag.
Battery life easily lasts multiple long gaming sessions, and the headset is comfortable even after hours of use. The built-in mic works well for party chat and online games.
Overall, this is a premium headset that truly enhances the PS5 gaming experience. Highly recommend for anyone looking for immersive sound and reliable performance.

I’m really impressed by the PULSE Elite headset — the sound is rich and detailed, thanks to planar magnetic drivers that make game audio feel immersive and lifelike. The low‑latency wireless connection via PlayStation Link works flawlessly, keeping sound perfectly synced for gaming sessions. The retractable mic captures voice chat clearly, and built‑in AI noise rejection helps ensure teammates hear me cleanly even in noisy environments. Battery life is excellent — I easily got long marathon sessions without recharging. The headset feels comfortable for hours of use, and the dual Bluetooth + Link connectivity makes it versatile beyond just the PS5 console. Overall, the PULSE Elite delivers an outstanding gaming and audio experience that meets the high expectations of serious gamers.

I’m very satisfied with this headset. The sound quality is excellent, with clear audio and deep bass that really enhances the overall experience. It works perfectly for gaming, movies, and music, and the immersion is impressive.
The design is comfortable even during long sessions, and the build quality feels solid and well made. Setup was easy and straightforward, and it connected without any issues. Battery life has also been reliable so far.
Overall, this is a great product that delivers exactly what it promises. I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a high-quality and comfortable headset.

Overall, these headphones aren’t better than the Pulse 3Ds. I ended up returning these for the Sony Inzone H9 IIs (which I LOVE!)
Pulse Elite Pros:
- Great battery life
- Sound drivers are good
- Mic
- Comfort
Pulse Elite Cons:
- I experienced a lot of connection drops with my PS5 Pro
- No transparency sound setting on the headphones. Sound isolation is great but hard to hear yourself talking.
- You need to adjust game and chat volume directly from your PS5.
