I wish the battery life was better on these cameras, but you can't really blame the battery for that. This is the one to get if you use a Sony Alpha camera.

They are easy to charge, install, and store. The charge time is reasonable and battery length/power sufficient for 500-600 12mb photos or more. Recommend 3-4 for travels with charger or 5-6 without.

A few times I've needed the extra battery to continue with a shoot but not as often. It's just great to have since you never know what the day will call for.

I can film 4k for a few hours… sometimes filming for companies it last the entire day if you turn on and off the camera when not in use… I feel like full charge takes around 2-3hrs

Necessary for travel

I ran it dry on several occasions - just out and about shooting, at the museums, at the concerts. It's small enough to be easy to carry, recharges fairly quickly, and well, what else can i say than you simply cannot shoot without a spare.

OEM quality costs money

So since my 2016 NP-FW50 was still going strong, I decided to finally pony up the cash for three more OEM batteries. I can't in good conscience give 5 stars though considering the price.
