That said, the battery works as it's supposed to, and the price is in line with what it costs from any other vendor. It's just handy to be able to stop by the store and pick one up if I need one on short notice.

In case I should find something to take several pictures of, then find something else, and that is the time you do not want your battery to die, so I bought two. So far I have had to use only one. It seems to hold charge very well.

Sony A6000 battery

I bought this for back up for a trip to the big Island of Hawaii. There are no specialty shops or best buy there. I plan to take lots of pictures and videos and do not want to be slowed down waiting on charging a battery

Nice to have a spare so that you do not have to stop and recharge before taking more photo when camera battery charge is depleted.

Battery life on the camera is fine, but since you have to plug it in to charge the battery, a second one is handy when you're not near an outlet and/or can't stop shooting.
