The Sony Xperia Xa Ultra is a good phone but there are better phones to choose from. I'll be honest it was the 6 inch screen size of the Sony Xperia Xa Ultra that really hooked me and made me purchase the phone. Movies and videos look really good on the screen and because the phone has bezel less edges the screen size looks even more massive. The phone has some good features like the camera app with it's 16.1 front megapixel camera and 21.0 back megapixel camera. The camera takes good pics especially the front camera for selfie pics. There are some cons to this phone though such as the Wi-Fi will sometimes drop unexpectedly, The call quality / reception is not that good, when i call people or they call me I am told by people they can't here me even though i am speaking directly into the phone microphone. There's only 16 gigs of internal storage and even though you can add an micro sd card for more storage the Sony Xperia Xa Ultra doesn't have adaptive storage. Adaptive storage means that you can store or transfer apps to the micro sd card but you can't do that on the Xperia Ultra, you can only transfer photos, music and videos to the micro sd card. Because the phone is constantly updating apps ( unless you turn off automatic updates in settings) you will constantly find yourself deleting the cache of the internal memory. And one last thing about the 16 gigs of internal memory, about 6 gigs of it is set aside for the OS leaving you with only 10 gigs to use before downloading any apps, you will find yourself running out of internal memory fast. The battery life is also not the greatest. The battery is only a 2800mAh which is not a large battery for a large phone of the Sony Xperia Xa Ultra. Usually by late afternoon like 4pm I am finding myself charging my phone. The battery is non removable so the other concern is how well will the battey hold a charge after two years if I have the phone that long. The Sony Xperia Xa Ultra is a good phone but I wish I had done more research of other phones and what features other phones offered before I purchased this phone. The Sony Xperia Xa Ultra is not a bad phone per se but there are better phones to choose from.

I did a lot of research on this phone before I finally decided to take the plunge. I was still skeptical even after buying it. But all that disappeared after I got my hands on it. I honestly have no idea how they can sell this phone so cheap. Best phone I've ever had and my previous was an iPhone 6. If your in the market for a new phone and you want premium quality without paying premium price, Do yourself a favor and buy this phone. The only negative to this phone is the battery life and small 16gb memory. However it still lasts me all day of heavy usage no problem and the storage issue can easily be fixed by purchasing an SD card.

Phone has a great size, takes gorgeous photos although front camera is better then back cam. Battery life can be better, but the only thing I hate about phone is the speakers, very low I find myself putting calls on speaker to hear unless I am in a quiet room. The speaker is in a horrible place where we hold phone and put fingers on it so it's hard to not hold the phone from bottom while talking so ppl can hear you better. Aux works when ever it wants. Phone is heavy and can't find any cute cases the protects phone without it making phone heavier then what it is.

Sony's products have always been of a good quality. This xperia does not disappoint. Pros: - Large screen - Very good camera outdoors Cons: - Bad camera indoors - Small phone storage

Overall, it is a solid phone. It is a little different on the Sony platform but the camera is amazing if you are into photography and/or also have a Sony camera. As of May 2017, I had it to be the top unlocked phone on the market.

This is a great phone. No issues with it yet. Camera isn't the best out there, but the pics are decent. Decent memory. The phone zips along facebook and other social media with no problems. Candy Crush and other games work fine. No issues. Love the size of the screen. Could use a bigger battery having to charge often, but probably due to the large screen. All and all, very pleased with the phone.

I had an older version of the Xperia and this one is better then the ZUltra. Fast, large screen, large icons and font options. It does not have all the features my Nexus 6 had, like unlocking the screen automatically by location. It also does not seem to do well with allocating memory between the SD card and internal. Overall a good phone.

A fantastic device, material, great to hold, cameras are top notch. Display excellent. USB-C connector to. Easy to charge. Only downside no fingerprint scanner. But overall XZ are a option in pair with iPhone 7 or the best Samsung got. Also a big plus that Sony using a "clean" Android version with no modifications like many other brands

So far so good and I am very much enjoying using Sony Xperia XA Ultra. Good picture quality for the price. The size of this phone is bit too big in my hand but screen is so clear I can read every thing clearly. A very good cell phone for the price.

Bought this Sony XA Ultra after accidently cracking my Sony Z3 Dual. Very similar but this is bit bigger and not waterproof. Speed in response is quick. Only one thing I haven't got used to yet is that it weighs a tad bit heavier than the Z3. Other than that, it's a great phone with traditional Sony style.

I wanted the largest possible screen for when I travel and the 6 inches has been absolutely perfect, I have never regretted not having my 7 or 9 inch tablets with me. I don't use a lot of apps so I can't compare against the I-phone but what I do use all get 5 stars, 23 mp camera, panoramic photo, voice driving directions. It is very large and cumbersome to hold long periods but I found a perfect solution in a $4 ring which attaches to the back and makes it unnecessary to grasp it with my hand, just let it hang on one finger. This also eliminates accidentally pressing the awkwardly placed buttons on the side, obviously designed by people who never held this phone in their hand. So far after 3 months totally flawless device, for my particular uses.

I love how beautiful this phone is...the front & back cameras are awesome..i think the cameras can compete with any phone... My only complaint is the battery battery life.. But all I did was buy a quick charger for my house & car.. It quickly charges back up within 30min.

Great feel in the hand. You really don't notice the six inch screen size. However, 16gb is NOT NEARLY enough storage for anything in smart phones these days. By the time the OS was done being setup, there was only 8gb of storage left.... come on Sony....

When I first purchased this phone, i went into it with the understanding that it was not a top of the line phone. However, for the price, I was okay with that because I really wanted to get away from a 2 year commitment with a cell phone company. Well, 5 months later and I have a 2 year commitment with a cell phone provider because this phone just wasn't good enough for my needs. The only thing nice I can say about it was that I liked the 6 inch screen. That's it. The biggest things that annoyed me were: Internal Storage was only 16GB and about half of that is taken up by the operating system. I added a 128GB storage card, but apps don't install to the storage card unless you download a 3rd party app to move them over to the storage card. Further complicating matters, every an app was updated, it had to be moved to the storage card all over again. You can imagine how tedious and annoying this gets over time. The next issue I had was that the phone had a very hard time staying connected via bluetooth to my car. I had to disable and renable bluetooth - sometimes several times - just to get the phone to sync up with the car. The battery - for such a big phone - would barely last an entire day without having to be charged again. No Android 7 (Nougat), even though it was supposed to be available last March, according to the Sony Website. No WiFi calling available (Per T-Mobile, not sure about other carriers) No otterbox cases. I ended up getting a case from Japan that made the phone appear to be another inch wider and taller and very heavy. My friends would tease me about the case 'cause they said I was carrying a weapon, not a phone. But I wanted a case that would protect the phone and it was the best one I could fine - pickings were slim. The bottom line is that I would not recommend this phone to anyone unless it was for a kid as a starter phone.

I found the cell phone to be a little big with the case. The cell phone on its one is pretty nice and easy to use. Cell phone is also pretty fast when it comes to opening and browsing net and programs.
