A very big sound for a small speaker. Very clear and crisp sound with good bass. Want a speaker that is also water resistant without breaking the bank with other high end name brands, then this speaker is for you.

This a great speaker that sounds pretty good for a smaller speaker. It came charged at about 75% (my estimate) which was pretty nice. I love the lights and the fact that you can change the colors so its either one color or a variety of colors. The light is pretty much dancing to the beat of whatever song your jamming to. Its a usb-c charging cable, which I def prefer over the older usb cables. The sound quality is really good and it can get pretty loud. The bass is ok, but it does bump a little. I think I prefer a little bass for a speaker this size than one that sounds like its gonna fall apart because there is too much bass. It just depends on what you like. It’s a nice size speaker that can fit in your backpack so you can take it to the beach or on a bike ride or to the park. I would definitely recommend this speaker.

This speaker brings out the fun with its good sound and entertaining light rings. I am thrilled with the overall quality of the Soundcore Flare 2 speaker and the Soundcore app. Pros: - Good sound quality and sound dispersion for a speaker this size -Light Rings add fun to the music - Soundcore App offers total control and flexibility, definitely worth using - Water proof and very portable - Ability to synchronize multiple speakers via Bluetooth linking - Good speaker phone and microphone audio quality Cons: - No Stereo Capability - Buttons on top are hard to find especially if you are using this as a speaker phone - No external battery level indicator, it would be nice if the light ring could be used as a battery indicator on start up Speaker: The speaker looks and feels like a quality component. It has some weight due to the batteries and speaker components but not so much weight that its not portable. The speaker provides good sound dispersion and a fair amount of bass with the bass boost on for a speaker this size. Its plenty strong enough with 20 watts of power to provide more sound than a typical speaker this size can provide. The controls are on the top and the side of the speaker. On top there is the power button, the volume up and down, the light ring selector and a multipurpose button in the center. The buttons are rubber coated mechanical switches which means you have to depress them to actuate them. This is good for water proofing but it makes it more difficult to find them. This is really a problem if you are using the speaker as a speaker phone because the multipurpose button is the answer button. Sitting on a desk it can be problematic finding the button when the phone is ringing. The audio quality and microphone quality are quite good as a speaker phone if only the buttons were easier to use. The advertised battery life is 12 hours but I think the actual number of hours depends on the user. I use mine for several hours and always put it on charger at the end of the day. The speaker has two light rings that really make this speaker stand out. There are multiple light functions in the app to choose from and you can actually pick the colors to use in the rings. Depending on the light mode the ring light will actually pulse with the music played. If you aren’t interested in the lights you can turn them off. If you purchase more than one of these speakers you can link them together to synchronize the music and light rings – perfect for parties or events. Soundcore App This has to be one of the best apps for portable speakers. Its simple to understand and it offers great control over the speaker and light rings. The app has three main pages; Equalizer, Home and Light settings. The home page allows you to power off the speaker, check the battery level, play or pause the music and set the volume using a half moon style dial. The equalizer page has four preset equalizer settings as well as a custom preset that lets you fully customize the equalizer. You can also turn on the bass boost which really does make an impact on the sound quality. The light page has 6 preset lighting patterns. Within each pattern you can choose which colors to use which makes the light rings totally customizable to your taste. I am really impressed with the quality of this app and its ability to control the speaker and lighting.

This a great sounding little speaker. It has plenty of sound to fill a small room. I think this would be perfect to bring on a camping trip, to the beach, or to a small gathering of friends. You can even link this speaker up to addition speakers, which is pretty cool. The companion app is a great addition that allows you to upgrade the firmware, change the colors, and also adjust the EQ settings. The speaker can be recharged via a USB-C cable, which is included. Likes: 1.) Good sound for a small speaker. 2.) Companion app 3.) USB-C Charging (included) Dislikes: -N/A

The build quality of the Soundcore Flare 2 is actually quite good for its price point. The charging is done via USB type C which is a plus. The most intriguing part of the Flare 2 was the 360 sound. The sound did give off the slightest feeling of immersive sound. It wasn't anywhere near of what you would get with two separate speakers of a surround sound setup, but once again, for a little portable speaker, not bad. The bass was actually pretty good, which is not something I usually say for portable speakers of any kind. The RGB lights do pulse to the beat of the song that you're listening to. It's great for parties, but pretty pointless in the daylight. There's an app you can download and pair with the speaker. The app has an equalizer feature which is great; especially if you're really picky about how you want the sound to be delivered. Now fo the IPX7 water test. I decided to do the unthinkable and fully submerge it in my tub to see if it survives. Verdict, it did. All in all, it's a nice little speaker with lights, and it's waterproof... how do I use it? As my shower speaker.

The Soundcore Flare 2 Portable Bluetooth Speaker is a nice portable speaker for your Bluetooth enabled device. It is small and lightweight to take on the go but also looks stylish to have as a lone speaker in any room in the house. Connectivity to your Bluetooth device is easy. I was able to instantly connect it to my iPhone with no difficulty. I just turned the speaker on, opened my Bluetooth app, and hit connect. It was literally that easy. The design of the speaker is very friendly. There buttons are made smooth into the top of the device. Buttons allow you to turn on/off the speaker, control the volume up or down, and another button to shuffle through the various light options for the device. As far as the sound goes, I was very impressed with the 20W speaker. It packs a good little punch and didn’t distort at the louder settings. The bass response was very good as well. I used it in my bedroom as well as the living room to play music and it sounded great. But that doesn’t mean it is restricted to indoor use. This speaker is waterproof so it can go near a pool. I used it on the playground while shooting hoops and it worked perfectly. The speaker also has some additional functionality. There is a built-in speaker and microphone. If you wanted to use it for a business conference call, it works well. And with the 360-degree speaker, you can hear the speaker regardless of where a person is seated. There is a companion app which can be used with the speaker. It allows you to change up light setting and other features. It works very well with the speaker. In conclusion, I was very impressed with he Soundcore Flare 2 Portable Speaker. Whether on the run, at home, or even the home office, the speaker works great for your needs. I highly recommend this product for anyone looking for a nice sounding and stylish looking Bluetooth speaker.

There are plenty of Bluetooth speakers out there, and for the most part, there are greatly indistinguishable. The Flare 2 has a few unique features which set it apart. It’s definitely flashy. Both the top and bottom rings can pulse with your music for a mini light show. There are several switchable variations including off. It’s waterproof making it good for outdoor and pool use. And, up to 100 of these guys can be synced to play in unison. Soundcore is a division of Anker which is best known for its quality chargers and power banks. This speaker follows that standard with a good, solid build quality. The sound is not that of the big-name products that cost five to ten times as much, but it’s pretty decent and can play at a high volume with minimal distortion. It pairs easily, and there’s a bass boost mode which most will probably leave turned on. There are buttons on the top for power, volume, light control, and “multi-function” (play/pause, track advance, and phone answer/end). The side has the bass boost and Bluetooth control. Under a watertight flap, you’ll find the USB C charger port. A cable is supplied, but you need to provide your power source … maybe an Anker charger? Soundcore has an app that you don’t need for everyday use. It offers is equalization, light mode control, and firmware updates. Depending on the sound features your mobile device offers, it may or may not be something you wish to keep on your phone. This speaker exceeded my expectations. At the regular price, it’s a good deal, but on sale, it’s a super bargain. It performs well above its price, and your kids will love the lights. Maybe you as well.

I just got my Soundform Flare 2 Bluetooth speaker and I love it! What a cool little speaker. Where to start….how about the design and look. The vibrant LED rings at the top and bottom of the device are gorgeous. You can have several different light patterns to fit your mood; I have mine set to solid blue that’s slowly pulsing at the moment. There are some cool looking options to have it flash along with your music as well. It feels well built. I know Anker has a solid reputation for quality though this is my first Anker product. Now to the meat of the review, how does it sound? Pretty dang good I must say. Now it’s a single small speaker, it can’t compete with my main sound system. But for a single, small speaker it’s fantastic in my opinion. Put it in the middle of a room and it really does a good job of filling that room with music. It’s immersive 360 degree sound is impressive. Bass response is really solid too for such a little thing. I’ve had a few wireless speakers in my day and this one is the best sounding. It also seems to be decent on battery life. It claims to have a 12 hours charge and that feels about right. Living next to a river as I do, I love that it’s water proof. Once the weather warms back up it will be down there testing that capacity to the max. I like the feature of being able to link multiple speakers together. Though I only have 1 I may get another one or two at some point in the future. All in all this is a great device. Well built, looks cool and most importantly it sounds great. I would definitely recommend this to a friend.

    Better than Original Flare

Since I already own the original Soundcore Flare Portable Bluetooth Speaker, I was really interested in getting this one to do a comparison. Right out of the box I plugged the speaker in to begin charging. You’re going to want to install the Soundcore App on your mobile device, and pair the Flare 2. With the app, you are able to adjust the volume, turn off the speaker, and customize the light effects and light modes. My favorite light effects are ‘Phasing Beats’ and ‘Bouncing Beats.’ With the EQ control, you can choose which light mode you want, and add extra bass. There are also convenient controls on the top of the speaker itself. Several features of this Anker Soundcore Flare 2 Portable Bluetooth Speaker worth showcasing are: 360 degree directional sound, which you can definitely hear Waterproof - great for use around the pool, by the tub or in the shower Light ring on the bottom and top of the speaker this time The “textile material” covering the speaker looks expensive and feels nice to the touch Supposedly you can connect up to 100 of these Flare 2 Bluetooth speakers together, if that is something you’d want to do, and can afford it. Is there a noticeable difference when comparing the original Soundcore Flare to this Flare 2 version? Yes. And the price for this newer model is right, too.

    Big Sound, Small Size

This is a great sounding bluetooth speaker in a rather small size. The 360 sound is a nice feature to have, if you have it outside you can hear from from all sides. There is a good bass sound, too, sort of amazing for such a small speaker. The other feature most important to me is water protection. This can be submerged in water and be fine. The perfect outdoor speaker for the pool. The lights are nice, but at night can be a little distracting, but they can be customized to be more relaxing. There is also an EQ for changing sound settings, but I’ve found the default settings to be fine for my needs. It charges over USB-C, which is nice as I have most of my other devices with USB-C connectors. And, it charges rather fast, around 3-4 hours for a full charge. I’m managing to get around 12 hours out of a charge. I only have one of these, but you can pair multiples to sync lighting and sound. This seems like a cool feature, and these are affordable enough that I will probably get another and try that out.
