Of all the police shows I have seen, and there are a lot, this one seems the most real and the most gritty. It's shot almost like someone documenting an actual day with the LAPD, meaning it's not like a set and everything's perfect. This seems the most realistic of any police drama out there. There are people with problems and seemingly real situations. It is Uncensored so not one for young kids but it, in my opinion, makes it more real. The biggest problem is once you get hooked season two, three, and four are all one set.

"Southland" is an excellent cop show that is quite realistic. It is different from a lot of the other cop shows that have been out there over the years. It reminds me of "Homicide: Life on the Street" in that it takes you to a grittier side of being a cop. Too bad it only lasted 5 seasons between the two networks that had in on. I really felt like I knew the characters as people.

I had never watched it on tv but this series really hit some good points about police work and them as people and also showed what problems we have in our society the needs attention!!!!

This is one of the best TV shows on right now!! I highly recommend starting from the beginning, even if you've followed the show from the start.

I didn't know anything about the series until I bought this set. If you like crime stories, then you'll like this one. You can't beat the price, and the packaging doesn't take up too much space on your shelf.

Great Show dealing with LA cops & the daily issues they face. Well written & worth watching. Get It. You'll be glad you did.

i cannot get enough of this show, i can watch it on a loop and i would never be tired of it. how can a show like this get cancelled?

Had seen previews, seemed like a great series, and loved watching the 'main' star in other films.

Southland is decidedly not Law & Order, any variation, and also unlike CSI. It is basically cops on the street in L.A., and some family drama thrown in.

This is a great product at a great price. Would buy season two when I find it.

It was a good action movie genre but a little rough for younger kids. I enjoyed it and will be watching it again.
