History at its best, very entertaining, great actors

Great show. Worth the watch. Will watch over again.

This show is pretty intense. It has graphic violence and some other graphic scenes not suitable for the young ones. This show was ended on the height of its popularity. Historically speaking, they couldn't have made so many seasons, but man I wish there was more. You won't be disappointed if you are a fan of the show. If you watched the cable version of this show - you missed about half the episode. The full versions are intense. Andy Whitfield was a great man, and the world is a worse place without him. He was a great actor, a heroic Spartacus, and a really cool guy (check out his Youtube Time Crisis video that he did with a fan for fun). The show rocks. Buy this boxed set!

Spartacus the complete series. The 1st season was a great story of ancient Rome. Before filming the 2 Season the actor that played Spartacus died of Non Hodgkin Lymphoma. I was skeptical about them finding another actor to play Spartacus but they did. I love history and never read about the final battles during the Rome slave uprising. This would make a great mini series to watch during the long cold winter.

Just watched the 1st Season.. Very good show. Lots of action. For adults only.

If you're a fan of blood and guts, sculpted men engaged in bloody mortal combat, the drama of treacherous women whom have their own needs to satisfy, and a story line that loosely follows the fatal journey of one of Rome's anti-heroes - this series is for you! The production is crisp, HD quality with all 4 series (the 3 seasons, and the prequel season following Andy Whitfield's death), plus lots of bonus material.

The shipping was aweful and the package was damaged. Im still looking forward to watching it though.

I first found this series on SYFY. I only saw a few episodes from near the end of the first season and one of the first few episodes from the second season. The Blu-Ray set came to my attention on another website, I ordered it, but, some reviews questioned the disc region playback. I canceled and went to Best Buy and bought it, even though it was $30.00 more. It took me two and a half weeks to watch, but, it was worth it. Also, no pixelated areas. The icing on the cake, three weeks later Best Buy lowered the price $32.00.

Huge fan of this Spartacus series !!!!! Really hope the same people who made this make a movie with the same cast !!!! Also would love to see them come out with more seasons that would be like the crixus years or Annimaius etc !!!! Stories behind the stories. I have recommended this to a LOT of people and they all became big fans. Dont watch with children though.

Spartacus: The Complete Collection [13 Discs] [Blu-ray] - oved it. the only thing that is missing is some of the Extended Edition episodes do not include the original broadcast version so those of you that want the original broadcast version will be disappointed. Overall this is a great set.

Like 300 in a series. Great characters and exciting action! No holds barred taste of what it must have been like to be a gladiator back in this bloodthirsty time. No apologies. The topper here was the sales price. About 40% off the list price. Had to have it. The only sad thing was losing Andy Whitfield, but Liam McIntyre was a worthy replacement.

I was glued to this when it was released on the Starz network back in 010. Awesome portrayal of a long past moment in time. Great scripts, Great actors, Great Story! (also great camera and CGI work) Warning: it is as brutal as the time in which it happened.

The picture shows digital and Blu-ray but the packaging only included the Blu-ray. Best Buy was contacted but they refused to issue me the digital copy. However the series itself is great.

This series isn't for the faint of heart, the Kirk Douglas is classic, I watch that version whenever TCM shows it. Cable Stations Movie Series' have given more to the people then what the big movie production companies do. Constant remakes of animated comic books & cartoons, animated voiced-over animals & mammals, and using of the same actors / actresses).

Finally completed this series after years of wondering about the final season. Happy to have added it to my collection. The actors, action, and storyline were all done incredibly. Wish more series would be created like this.

This is one of the greatest shows ever made. This is a very edgy show, heavy in both sex and violence. There are good story lines and the acting is decent to good. The original actor passed away from cancer and was replaced for the final two seasons. They both did a great job, given the circumstances. This is a great show. Highly recommended.

I watched this blu-ray set (all seasons) in 1 week. It was that good (plus a huge amount of eye candy...lol). It took some getting used to season 2's new Spartacus (because the original actor passed away) but he did well. I wish I would have bought each season separately because I would have saved $30 but you know what they say about hindsight.

Love this show and I was excited to find the box set. I do wish it has the digital copy like most blu-ray sets but it doesn't. The discs are in sleeves like a book and it even has a ribbon in the spine to use as a bookmark so you can mark which disc you left off on, which was a neat feature.

If you're into blood, violence and 'censored acts' (in the interest of historical accuracy) this is your movie. Nothing is left for the imagination! Perhaps this may very well be the definitive and most accurate depiction of life in ancient Rome. This is how it should be told!

One of my favorite TV series. Great story line. The price was awesome as well. I wished they had a sequel for this series. It is sad the main actor passed away from cancer during the middle part of the series, but the replacement brought great acting skills as well.
