It was his number one toy on his long Christmas list.

My son loves bb-8 since we went to Playfair we were going to get the big interactive bb-8 by Spinmaster but when we heard that Sphero released a special edition bb-8 with a force band we checked it out and he loves being able to control bb-8 with his force band it takes a while and after a few tries you get the hang of it so he has him following him around.

bought this for my 8yr old son, I think I might keep it for myself. ha ha. just make sure and finish the tutorial when you install the app. anyway, great movement etc, wish it was a little bigger. ha ha

Got this for my daughter. She loves it. Still learning to use it, and control it. Very interactive toy. I see it keeping her interested for a long time. Only gripe is bad information from associate who said this would work with amazon tablet. This is wrong. Must have Google play services on tablet or smartphone.

My wife and I bought this for our 5-year old for Christmas. It's really cool and he enjoys playing with it but: 1. It stopped doing the animations as much while charging (not a deal breaker). 2. You really need a tablet or phone to go with this. So if you don't want your kids to take your devices, do what we did and get an iPod touch or something with which they can "drive it". 3. After a couple days of playing, the head doesn't seem to stay on as well as in the beginning. Light bumps into baseboards, furniture, etc. are enough to send the head flying. And it doesn't drive very well without his head.

Got this for my son and he loves it. Very easy to set up and provided hours of fun for him. I know he will enjoy this for a long time!

I wasn't expecting the product to be so small, but it did a lot! My son enjoyed playing with it and I did too l.

The BB-8 special edition is worth the extra money. I wouldn't buy the regular BB-8 because the wristband makes the toy what it is. The apps are well designed and make it a blast to interact with BB-8. The only drawback is you need the app open on your phone to have BB-8 on autonomous mode and use the additional features like voice command and message recording. That's why I'd recommend the SE version since you can control it with the band and not the phone app.

My older kids love playing with this BB8. It zips around the house and brings a smile to my face.

After reading plenty reviews from several stores and having my son ask for this for over a year, I was not convinced enough to want to spend so much for such a tiny droid. On a recent trip to the Apple Store while waiting to see Santa we were surprised that the Apple geniuses had one of these with the force band rolling around the store, playing with customers. My kids, all five (ages 4-20) fell in love with BB8. Even us parents. He is smart. It knew to avoid things. It's fast and so responsive for such a little guy. I immediately saw Bestbuy's deal when I got home and went back out and got it. Can't wait until Christmas. Thanks Best Buy! $149.99 with a $50 gift card for BB8 and the force band.....sweet!!!

The action on this thing is horrible. It was way over-marketed for what it is. For 15 bucks i would buy it again but i returned it because it was so dumb.

Great product, lower price, fast delivery, etc. Everything was perfect except for a usb cable that does not work. Anyway, it was a great buy.

I saw this and wanted it from the beginning. Then it it went on sale for 50% offf. Even better. The force band took some time to get use to.

We bought this for our 13 year old son for Christmas and he loved it. He has had so much fun with it. He loves Star Wars so this is like having a real piece of the movie. The reason I gave it 4 stars is because the head comes off too easily when you hit a bump or if it has a big jolt. It's not a major problem but you do expect more when you pay this much for a toy. I would still get it though, especially if you like Star Wars.

Saw the item in the store and was so excited when I saw the special bundle price. I did some research and found the answers I was looking for. It's a great value!

These were a hit with my grandkids for Christmas. Each family received one plus several smaller collectable items from the Star Wars Saga. It was fun to see which of the kids would figure them out & get them going first! Of course grandma just HAD to open them first (to charge them). Cute little rascals.
