The last Star Trek movie with the entire original cast features a clever story about the thawing of relations between the Federation and the Klingons, and the attempts at subterfuge by those who feel threatened by the changing times. Christopher Plummer and David Warner are great as the Klingon leads. The Blu-ray has a sharp picture and crisp sound that is a definite improvement on the standard DVD. The Undiscovered Country is an effective blend of action, humor, drama and suspense, with a fittingly emotional final scene. Must have for fans of Kirk, Spock, McCoy, Scotty, Uhura, Chekov and Sulu. And, of course, the starship Enterprise.

The plot involves a peace conference between the Federation of Planets and the troublesome Klingons. The Klingons are hoping to perform a little damage control after triggering a mining disaster on one of their moons; their spokesman is the seemingly contrite General Chang (Christopher Plummer). All negotiations abruptly cease when a Klingon vessel is attacked, and Capt. Kirk (William Shatner) and Dr. McCoy (DeForest Kelley) are accused of the crime. As they stand trial for murder, Mr. Spock (Leonard Nimoy) and Vulcanian trainee Lt. Valeris (Kim Cattrall) try to locate the real culprits.
Theatrical Cut.

A must see! Possibly the best movie of the original six star trek movies. Christopher Plummer was an excellent villain. This Blu ray version is loaded with excellent special features that provides a political comparison to what was happening in the world at the time the movie was written.

The Undiscovered Country ranks as the second best Star Trek feature film, just behind The Wrath of Khan. This film is tightly written, full of suspense, has many plot surprises, and has outstanding action sequences. Like a good concert, this film leaves the audience fully entertained and wanting more.

If not my favorite ST film, it's very good. I upgraded to the Bluray because of over two hours of bonus extras. Plummer a great Trek villain.

A well-written final installment to the six-part Start Trek movies; was a good setup for the Next Generation.

Similar to a lot of the original Star Trek movies, this one doesn't have much to offer. It's unfortunate, but if you're a Star Trek fan, you'll still watch it.

This a good older Star Trek flick , but probably not one of the more popular in the series , but good non-the-less with a decent plot/story . The Bluray transfer has excellant PQ and sound is good , but the sound could have been done better considering its in Bluray HD 5.1 ; as it should have been Bluray HD-DTS like the others in this series .
When onsale at $10 its a bargin eitherway you look at it and definitly worth a purchase for any Star Trek or Bluray collection ; the PQ alone is worth the buy .

A great movie! Captain Kirk, Spock and company are back at it in their last, best run, this movie is better than Generations, which I still have a hard time wondering why did they bother making that movie!. This movie is still great! Great Quality!

This was a great and sad closure to TOS cast. Christopher Plummer was a terrific villain.
