And yes, laptop manufacturers, some of us still use DVD players to watch movies.

Bought for a friend to complete the collection. Plus it was at a very good price.

The only bad thing I could ever say about SGU..... it ended way to soon!

This was a great addition to my collection of the SGU series.

Not being able to get into this series during it's original airing, I found the DVDs allowed me to see more dramatic performances than the 1st two series (SG-1 & Atlantis).

My least favorite of the three star gate series, but still would recommend if you are a fan of SG1 or Atlantis.

Another gift that I gave, not sure what it's about but they wanted it.

A new take on the Stargate series. Much darker and more serious compared to SG1 and Atlantis. Good exploration of human emotions and fighting for survival. The acting is pretty good as well. The main drawback is that some episodes are very dull and lack an exciting element and towards the end things become altogether confusing and the show seems to lose the initial wonder at the start of the series. However, the finale was somewhat redeeming and should make for a good transition to the second season. I would recommend this to someone who is a fan of Stargate or a fan of science fiction in general but the average viewer would probably find this unappealing.

I had purchases 1.0 when it came out and was a bit disappointing that that was only half of the 1st season. It was on sale so it worked great for the price since I already had half of it. If you like Stargate you have probably already watched. I liked the character development.

The ability to see the 1st 3 episodes as one extended episode is a must see. The image quality of this set is much higher then it was when it was originally broadcast, the opening sequence took my breath away..

I am months late in writing this review. I was waiting to see when and how the 2nd half of the 1st season was going to be sold. I would recommend the purchase of the complete 1st season because it would be cheaper and 1 box saves space on the shelf.

this bluray set would be great for all the stargate fans out there i know its not as funny as the other show Sg1 and atlantis but for every person that wanted to see a warmhole in hi-def this would besome (indeed)

I am beginning to feel immersed in Stargate. Once you become involved for a prolonged period of time, you wait for additional installments.

Good followup to the stargate saga. Maintains enough connection to the conclusion of SG-1, yet is original enough to have it's own story.

This could have been another great Stargate series if it hadn't have been cancelled on a cliffhanger!

For those of us who do not seem to be able to get enough of the series.

Like all new series it needs character development. I see as it goes on it's getting better. And I know it takes time.

This is a great continuation of the Stargate series for fans. Wish it had lasted more than 2 seasons.

WARNING to all Stargate fans. This is the worst Stargate show ever conceived. Unless you like tons of drama (as in relationship drama) DO NOT buy this show.
