Complaints from others about whether they could hear me. Right ear stopped outputting sound after two months.

This mic does NOT work on most laptops, and the 4 pin connector only works for headphone audio, not mic input. You have to use a dual channel attachment included for it to work with only a PC. Console and phone can use the basic 3.5 mil jack(in most scenarios), just not most modern laptops. Also, I can't believe this headset doesn't have a USB wired connection mode in 2024. I love my last Arctis 7p headset, and I am more surprised than anyone that this headset doesn't work as advertised with extremely vague details. Steel Series troubleshooting videos will flat out mislead you into believing your headset will work. Hours wasted. Only buy Steel Series mid to higher tier products. Stay away from this lower tier trash. Buyer beware. I will return this headset as soon as I can. What a waste of time. Next time display that a headset can't work on a normal laptops.

I bought this for my son for Christmas. He’s not very happy with them because there’s a strong echo when gaming with friends. Unfortunately, he threw the box away and we can’t return them. It works fine if he’s playing alone.

Using this headset with pc was kind of difficult. When using this headset with Discord people would say that they either couldn’t hear me or that I was way to quiet. Even if I turned up the output sound all the way up they still couldn’t hear me. The application that you have to download didn’t help change anything either. I only had the headset about 2 days and ended up returning this for a different headset in the end.

A $15 pair of dollar store headphones will sound leagues better than whatever drivers they packed in these.
Never in my life have I had such difficulty with simple, wired headphones.
1- The maximum volume on these is 1/3rd that of similarly priced competitors.
2-Sound quality is equivalent to a Droid A855 cellphone at the end of a long, metal hallway playing heavily compressed audio. Genuinely McDonald's Happy Meal included-toy "quality". I bet the driver in my PC's error code beeper is more capable than these.
To be fair, the "Ease of use" category of this review if normal. 3.5mm jack in 3.5mm hole. Everything is recognized and input becomes output. The earcups are plenty comfortable and the resistant band helps.
Regardless, never buy these. I'll never give SteelSeries my money again.
