Customers are saying

Customers often highlight the exceptional sound quality, encompassing impressive bass and clear audio detail, as a major pro. Comfort is another frequently praised aspect, although some users found the fit to be a bit snug or the headset too small. While the included GameDAC and its sound customization options receive positive feedback, a shorter-than-ideal cable length and higher price point are recurring criticisms.

I had the standard PS4 wireless headset before this. The padding around the ears was starting to crack and flake off so it was time to look for something new. While I was hoping for something that was wireless, the quality of both the sound and the microphone on this set is well worth that trade off. The GameDAC is a pretty cool feature as well - giving you more control over different settings than you would normally have with a headset.

This headset was amazing. The sound, the feel, and the RGB lighting made it a great headset. The game dac was easy to use and customize. Unfortunately I had to return it because the wires just didn’t work for me. I sit about 8-10 ft from my tv so I ended up returning these and buying the wireless version. This would be perfect for someone using on pc or a PS4 desk set up.

I have long been a fan of Steelseries and have have several of their headsets. Unfortunately the clamping force of these headphones is way too much even for my average sized head. It gave me a headache after even just 5 minutes of use. There is virtually no adjustment as the suspension band only has a small patch of Velcro and even when trying to use tape to give it more play it still puts too much pressure on your head and ears. The sound was similar to that of my Steelseries 5H V2’s but with a bit more bass and maybe a tiny bit more clarity in the highs. It felt like a small upgrade for way too much money. I had some issues with the DAC and didn’t find it very useful. I don’t have a console as I only Game on PC, and someone may find more use and less issues with it if using it with their console. Trying to get game sounds and Discord working simultaneously in Win7 was futile. When getting both sounds to output so that the dial would adjust the volume between the two, the microphone would not work. When getting the microphone to work, you would lose one of the outputs. I spend 2 whole days adjusting every possible setting, even attempting to create virtual cables in Voicemeter Banana, and I still couldn’t get it to function as intended. Also, the surround sound option made all the sounds incredibly tinny. I really wanted to like this product as it had durable build quality and looks good, but I ended up not actually liking anything about it. At the end of the day, the high price makes it even less desirable. I ended up getting a non-gaming headset with far superior soundstage and positional audio for PUBG and it cost me less than half even after separately adding a high quality microphone.

I’m a glasses-wearing gamer and these are by far the most comfortable pair of headphones I’ve ever worn. The build is solid and doesn’t feel cheap. I’ve had my friends tell me the mic sounds fantastic too. The DAC provides a slick and convenient way to mess with your settings without having to close out your programs while providing a higher caliber quality of sound at the same time.

Let start this first of all by saying that I am an avid gamer who has probably spent ~7,000+ hours or so playing PC Games, most of that time I was wearing a headset. I'll be up front, this is not a headset where it feels, "Weightless" when it's on your head. This is a quality headset, built from quality materials. The interface that it operates through (GameDac) is very useful with its easily accessible volume mixer. I guess the only, "Downfall" I've run into is the sound quality; it's still pretty nice its just not the headset you should purchase if you're not looking to game with it. I haven't had any problems yet that weren't very easy to solve myself and the customer service of Steelseries is smooth and quick if you do ever have a problem. I do recommend this headset for its simplicity and quality of build.

All time favorite headset I've used for FPS games. Especially games like siege and when it was at its peak PUBG. Extremely clear footsteps great base and the EQ options were very user friendly. I used these for almost 3 hours a day sometimes longer, and during quarantine definitely used for long periods of time and never faulted.

I’ve owned nearly every “audiophile” headset on the market and these are The Best headphones for pc gaming currently on the market... hands down! I couldn’t give 5 stars due to the lack adjustment for larger head sizes.

The sound and the bass are amazing on these. If you are getting wired headphones, these are it. Just do not take them off your head from the ear cups because the way they are design they can snap. ALWAYS FROM THE HEADBAND and you will be good.

Visited the store to buy a pair of gaming headphones that were of another make and model. While browsing the store for them this brand came highly recommended to me by one of the Best Buy associates so I thought I'd give it a try. Happy that I did. The sound quality and comfort level of these are excellent. If you're a heavy gamer, these will be a game changer!

Terrible product. I've had 3 of these at this point and without fail within 2 years the casing of the headphone will break. It's a known design flaw but steel series does not care enough to fix it. Avoid at all cost unless you want to replace your headset within 2 years max.

Wanted to see for myself if the sound quality of the wired version was worth the inconvenience of having the cords and its not. The wireless sound great and actually would play louder than the wired DAC version. I tried all the options and definitely not worth giving up the wireless at least for consoles I'm not a PC gamer so this review is based on using the Wireless Pro with transmitter on my PS4 Pro & Xbox X. Spend the $80 get the wireless Arctis Pro Wireless With Transmitter it's the best console gaming headphone option at this time. The wired sound fine but you cannot control the DAC from the headset like you can the Transmitter on the Wireless.

I have purchased a few steelseries headsets from low budget options to higher budget options. This is so far my favorite one. I find it comfortable, I usually play for 2-4 hours and it doesn't bother me at all. Great mic. Quality! Very customizable. Easy to use. I recomend the GameDAC version.

I previously owned Astro A50s, and bought these based off other reviews thnking they'd be comparable at minimum, possibly superior. Out of the box I did all the updates, etc. and got them set up. At first I thought I just needed to go through the equalizer settings to find the right sound. After messing with the sound for more than a couple hours, I found a setting I was okay with, but still lacked depth and fullness. To put it bluntly, I always felt like my head was in a bucket. Sounds seemed to come from every direction. It was a little better with DTS turned off, but then what's the point of paying almost 300 for a "stereo" headset. Sound quality was my biggest complaint. No where near the quality of Astros. The external DAC was cool, I liked having the controls not on the headset. Another down side was I frequently got static on chat. So when the other person spoke I heard a static in their voice. This was sporadic, and not heard with other headsets, so I know it was caused by the Arctis headset. For a wired connection, I do not understand why there would be static. I could live with this, as it wasn't constant, but I can't get over how poor the sound quality was. For a top of the line headset, it wasn't top of the line sound. I expected way better. If you're going to spend this kind of money, I'd go with something different for sure. The surround sound in my Astros was way more realistic, and the sound quality in general was supreme. I have ear buds better than this headset. Not acceptable. I gave them 3 stars because they have some good qualities. The mids and highs are crisp, and the headset is very comfortable. The headband design is great. Ear cups blocked out some external noise, and I didn't get any sound loss in-game. Overall it's a good headset, but no where near top of the line quality. I feel this headset, wired, should be in the $100 range, maybe pay an extra $20 for the lights, which are just for show. Kind of gimmicky actually. Arctis should get serious about the quality of sound if they want to compete with other high end sets.

They might be a little on the pricey side but well worth the money. Fantastic sound and good mic clearity. The DAC is helpful in dialing in the sound levels.

I have to explain, these are the best you can get without going to a DT 990 with an amp. They are indeed the best headset you can buy for the money, and the only competitive ones are the astros, which aren't quite as good in mids but have WAY more bass.
