Customers are saying

Customers often highlight the exceptional sound quality, encompassing impressive bass and clear audio detail, as a major pro. Comfort is another frequently praised aspect, although some users found the fit to be a bit snug or the headset too small. While the included GameDAC and its sound customization options receive positive feedback, a shorter-than-ideal cable length and higher price point are recurring criticisms.

Most Comfortable! BUT MIC IS OVERLY SENSITIVE

Arctis comfort is unmatched by any other headset for my head shape. The mixer enables me to hear dual pc stream rig/game rig audio without having to spend a small fortune on a headset/mic/mixer/cables/attachments, much less the hassle and headache of setting all that up. That being said I really wish the Steelseries engine software was more user friendly and allowed better control of the headsets audio/mic, really doesn’t seem like it changes much except simple audio eq and volume of your mic... NO noise suppression, mic filters, or modes that allow you to control your mic output better. Mic is overly sensitive to the point it picks up music from downstairs in my house with my door closed, in an acoustic foam lined room, if I don’t hold my breath my teammates can hear my nose hairs tingling on exhalation, keyboard clicks are so loud that my teammates get a 3D asmr visualization of what exact key I’m hitting at that exact moment, the mic is so sensitive it can probably pick up what my neighbor is having for dinner. Figured for the price of this thing would have better settings and control. But then again it is a cheap alternative compared to a whole mic/headrest/mixer/xlr for dual rig set up.

I will start this review by stating that the bundle is a pretty good bundle, but there are a few things that hold it back. The headset put pressure on the top of the jawbone on each side of my head and the only adjustment is a small velcro tab which doesn't really give you much wiggle room to make the headset more comfortable. The Gamedac sounds great, but any time I introduced another sound device like a Yeti mic or a Webcam, the device for Gamedac game would disappear and the audio would default to Gamedac voice. This prevents you from being able adjust the game/chat balance as there is nothing to balance. To fix it you have to toggle the input on the device from PC to something else and then back to PC. It takes about 20 seconds, but feels like I shouldn't have to find a workaround for a $250 bundle. Another issue is that for some reason you can't use any spacial audio on the Gamedac game side, but you can for Gamedac voice... I really need that surround sound voice. After those negatives, the device actually works really well. My friends said that I sounded clearer coming through the mic than other headsets and the Gamedac works really well for balancing settings. After searching reddit for solutions to the reset issue, it seems like this has been going on for close to a year. I also reached out to SteelSeries about any future updates that would allow for more adjustments on the headset and they stated that they'll pass on my feedback.

I will try to keep this short and sweet, headphones were great for the first week I had them. Sound Quality was solid, functionality was good, comfort and mic were awesome! I play a lot of Destiny, went into the weekend wit a group to run cards for Trials and something starting ringing constantly, no matter what I did. I unplugged, reset the DAC everything, the odd thing was I had everyone mute themselves and it continue. I soon found out that something was happening while in Private Party Chat, did not happen otherwise. It didnt matter who was in the chat, it happen no matter who was in there. Big turn off, considering I gave them a shot because I had High Battery Drainage on my Astro A50's. If you are going to spend $300 on a headset I do not recommend these from my experiences, I would prefer the A50's.

I tried out more than a dozen headsets ranging from $79-299 before finally upgrading to this one. This headset was worth every penny with the gamedac mixer for streaming. Works great with the PS4 and the sound quality is amazing!! The software seemed to be the easiest to use and most customizable vs. other headsets software I tried (like Logitech, Corsair, Turtle Beach, Razer, etc..) save your time and money and go with a Steel Series, you won’t regret it!

These headphones are the best headphones I have ever tried gaming wise. The only complaint that I have is that the cable that goes from the game dac to the headphones is a little short.

Honestly impressed with how good this mic is. I love that the earmuffs glow different colors while using it and the mix amp is super easy to navigate. Sound quality is great and they are also very comfortable.

Great sounding headset. Easy setup and easy to use. The lights are not necessary but are an added bonus to match lights on PC. Comfortable for long periods of use.

Note, these aren't wireless. I thought they were because the Pro's are but the version that comes with the DAC are wired. Great headphones though. Highly suggest them for gaming. They feel great!

I have been using these headphones for about a month now. I really enjoy the quality of them and how they sound. My only issue is getting the settings to work all the time...user error though and I am learning how to fine tune the settings. Would highly recommend getting if you listen to a lot of audio via your computer or video game a lot.

Now I have had an lot of headsets these are the best , the reviews says there’s issues with this the problem is people don’t know how to configured these headsets or it’s there computer . Only issues i ran into with updates the software it failed so I had to reinstall and restart the computer and as for the big issues seem to complain about the volume all you need to do is turn off volume limiter and these get loud but you must do the update for it to work with Jess are great if you have the money to spend

I had the Astro A50 gen3 and the gen 4 after those I was happy with the gen 3 except they would always lose signal. And the gen 4's sound super low on volume out of the box so they are complete trash. I returned my gen 4 Astro and got these. I should have switched to these a long time ago. The dac pushes these headsets to deliver great sound quality and it gives you full control of the sound there at your finger tips without having to exit any games.
