its a matter of the lack of windows drivers and the fact that the software provided is defective.

Can't control the new apple TV well. Jitters rather than sliding over when in menus. Had to return.

This controller was supposed to pair with the Zeiss virtual reality headset. Couldn't really figure out how that worked, so we returned it.

Great Controller for Mobile, iPad and AppleTV

I wanted a controller for games on my Mobile device, iPad and Apple TV. This controller connected with all three devices via bluetooth and I'm able to play a number of games including Oceanhorn, Real Racing 3 and Asphalt 8. It is very responsive and feels comfortable in your hands. The arrangement is slightly different than and XBOX controller but usable none the less.
I would recommend this controller for anyone interested in having a controller for games played on iOS devices or even a computer and having the wireless freedom.

Outside of small issues the controller 95% remains true to it's intentions. Good grip with easy access to all buttons. Responds to requests well.
Occasionally drops bluetooth signal and buttons on a rare occurrence can stick. For instance I play a basketball game and the B button occasionally sticks for a split second delaying a shot or action.
Overall well worth the purchase.

I wanted to buy a controller for my IPad air2 and looked up some reviews before I purchased. I am very happy with my purchase. Easy to connect to my iPad and the batteries last a very long time even though they are not rechargeable.

Not the best Controller

If you use this controller for iOS only you should be fine. If you want to use on Mac and iOS you might have some issues. In any case, the controller feels fantastic and it has some weight to it like a console controller. It works great on the mac if you are only about 3 to 4 feet away (all other game controllers worked great from a far distance just not this one). Any more than that and you might decide to throw it against the wall. In all seriousness though, the 15 minutes I had on apple tv was fantastic, just don't think its like most bluetooth devices, this controller has some serious identity issues. So on with the craziness.....
I am about to return the second Stratus XL. When I bought it the first time it worked fantastic with my apple tv 4 and macbook pro. The only issue I experienced at first was there was this annoying range issue with the controller and the mac. I use the mac on my tv via HDMI and during gameplay the controller was so laggy I couldn't do anything. When I got closer to the mac it got more responsive. My PS4 remote and Wii mote didn't have this issue. When I paired the stratus xl to apple tv it worked flawlessly (I paired it to the apple tv first... will visit this again in a bit). So the lag on the mac was troubling, very troubling. I contacted Steelseries tech support to help me out. They gave me a firmware update. I plugged it in and ran the update. Yay my controller was now dead. That was an awesome trick. Took it back to good ol' Best Buy and got a replacement. This time I paired it to the mac first which I think was a bad idea. It still had the lag issues, BUT now after trying to pair it to the apple tv after pairing with the mac, it doesn't connect. It doesn't connect on ANY iOS devices whatsoever. It shows up yeah and you get your hopes up, but it never connects. It works on all the Macs in the house - I appreciate its fancy towards the mac :) but it just doesn't work on any iOS devices now. So either I have the worst luck, or the controller has some serious mental issues OR Steelseries really needs to test their products more thoroughly.
Its a great controller WHEN IT WORKS!

I sit here holding this controller, unable to use it seeing as my tower does not have native Bluetooth support. The packaging does not mention anything about no dongle included or native Bluetooth needed. I purchased this in store under the impression there was a dongle, there is not. On Bestbuy.com , that I see, does not include this info, Amazon does tho.

Not console quality

Control works well with most games. Some it does not work at all. Joystick sensitivity is not as accurate as a console controller but it gets the job done for Apple TV games.
