Number 1 Way to Watch Internet TV

I own four of these now and I love them. I can watch 4K TV's all over the house without running cables and wires everywhere. Interface and setup was very easy. I bought silicone "skins" to protect remotes from damage when accidentally dropping them. I also recommend using Lithium batteries to protect remote from damage caused by evil, leaky, alkaline batteries. Only pitfall is that I wish there was a "disable" for the premium channel buttons. If you fall asleep on your remote, you may find yourself suddenly subscribing to premium channels! (Actually you can protect your account from unauthorized billing)

Easy to use, snappy and intuitive interface, tons of available apps, future proof with 4K, awesome wireless remote, and make sure to grab the smartphone app in case you lose the remote. Highly recommended.

I haven't cut the satellite cord yet. Still experimenting with Roku. Roku has its own channel with many shows. There are many, many free sites, but most show a lot of old stuff, but stuff that isn't shown on TV anymore which is good for that reason. There are a lot of channels to chose from and in all genres. Most of the free apps and streaming channels do have ads, but the ads are shorter than what we are used to with cable and satellite. Still better than cable/satellite ads that go on forever and the volume always seems to be louder. When you are about to see an ad, you usually get a heads up, and they tell you how many ads you will see. I haven't seen more than 5 and they are short. Sometimes the ad repeats for some reason. Then there are subscription channels, of course. Right now I have 30 days free with Netflix, but they don't offer the very new releases, maybe some, but not all, they said it depends on the area. I can't watch Doctor Sleep on Netflix yet, but I did get to see The Irishman, Two Popes, and Marriage Story. All good movies, by the way. I have Redbox account and I can stream through Roku. They have their own subscription and set up. I haven't done that yet. I am signed up with Vudu for basic shows. I guess with a subscription I will get more. Maybe no ads. Not sure yet. I like that I can watch news from all over the world and all over US. Picture quality is great that's why it's better to get this model over the basic. I have 2 of these Roku. Customer service is very good. They walked me through it the first time I hooked it up. They were very helpful. I've called them a few times with some questions. I've been able to watch Roku on my tablet and phone, too, because I have an account. Cutting the (DirecTV) satellite cable will come soon. I get my Internet through my local cable company. I do have some questions for them before I do that because some of the channels allowed me to get in because I have DirecTV. I'm new at this so you may know more than I do about the whole process. As far as the unit, it works great. I like that it has voice control. Again, the resolution is great, it will go up to 4K if you have it.

I've bought plenty of Roku devices and the best thing about it is that they are not expensive at all which is why I buy them and this 4K streaming stick is very good and it gets the job done. Thing about this device is that the wireless adapter is separate from the device as it is own cable but it also includes a USB extender if you want use a power adapter to plug it to the outlet. 4K content through the streaming stick is solid, load times are great I don't wait too long for content to load up as the wireless adapter is 802.11 AC MIMO dual band so I never wait for content to load and with this Roku device being portable I can take it anywhere to connect to any TV so would I recommend this, yes I do.

Roku’s work great. The Streaming Stick + helps eliminate wires. A big plus for me. Like other versions of Roku it will freeze up and require rebooting from time to time. The remotes work well and smartphone apps add functionality. The interface is more intuitive than Sony or LG smart tv’s in my opinion. Also if you have different brands of tv’s in your home they all look and work the same via Roku. Another big plus.

I’m very happy with the Streaming Stick +. Install was a breeze and it picks up my WiFi network easily. Streaming is really nice and no buffering issues like with the Roku 2. I’m very pleased with this product.

We dropped our satellite/cable company and use this alone. It’s easy to install and use. Only complaint is that the remote goes through batteries a lot .

My Roku streaming stick is fast, reliable, easy to set up and use, and it offers me vast and streamlined access to many, many streaming sources as well as their own Roku offerings. Both the hardware and the monthly cost are highly affordable. I use Netflix, Amazon, Hulu, Acorn, Britbox, AT&T TV, and several network, or cable app sources. It’s simple to search, select, and set up each option using Roku. Billing is also consolidated through Roku for the individual apps. For context, my router and modem are Netgear, and I have a high speed internet connection, and everything is wireless and Bluetooth.

Roku's affordable 4K HDR streamer is one you shoul

The Roku Streaming Stick Plus delivers 4K and HDR video in a compact package for an affordable price. Its dead-simple interface puts every streaming service on a level playing field. Roku has more 4K HDR apps and better search than competitors. Its responses are lightning fast, its video quality as good as any streamer, and its remote can control your TV's volume and power.
The menus can seem dated compared to rivals, and some apps use old-school layouts. Voice search and control is worse than some competitors.
With its simple design and focus on features you'll actually use, Roku's affordable 4K HDR streamer is one you should get.

Despite so many televisions being "SMART" now, many just haven't gotten to that ease of use like Roku. I have added this to a smart tv that had an amazing picture but just wasn't cutting it with the availability of apps and channels. This unit is practically invisible, it's fast and supports 4k and HDR...Win.

The "sweet spot" of Roku streaming media players!

This Roku Streaming Stick+ 4K is the "sweet spot" of Roku streaming media players in terms of features for price. Adds 4K capability to the Roku Expresses and the Premiere, and keeps the price under $50. The few added features you get with the HE and Ultra's don't justify their premium prices to me. The Roku interface is the "cleanest" and easiest of the various streaming media players in my book, and avoids all the "Amazon push" you get with the Amazon Firestick. And you can take it with you on trips. Hit the "sweet spot" with this Roku Streaming Stick+ 4K!

I previously was using an Amazon Fire TV Stick (the original) but felt it was time to update. Instead of waiting I decided to get the new Roku since it was just released.
Overall it works great. One tiny issue I do have is it doesn't always accept the first button press on the remote. I have to sometimes press the button 2-3 times..
It does seem to have all the apps/channels I need and use. I was surprised to find the one called FullScreen that you can add. That's the video streaming service I receive from my cell phone provider. So in additional to Netflix, I have Amazon, Spectrum, FullScreen and Plex that I use.
The only negatives I have would be the Presets shown on the remote for services. Other than Netflix, I don't use those other three and it seems like wasted space. The remote also can control the TV's volume but unfortunately they forgot to add the TV's INPUT button. So you'll still need to pick up the other remote to change inputs.

Great Choice for Streaming Device

I'm pleased with this Roku option as a streaming stick. It offers hundreds of apps to customize your viewing experience. You have to have some subscriptions but many are free viewing. My one and only concern was that the device itself gets very warm. I noticed this as I decided I wanted to remove it from one tv to a different one. But it cools down when the tv set is off. So far that warming hasn't interfered with the functioning or operating of the device. It's been working as expected with no issues or problems and very clear picture screen.

Great streaming option - wifi speed and apps

Decided to cut the cord and go with streaming option. Had originally planned to just use the smart TV for that but some apps (especially Hulu classic) weren't very good and wifi or ethernet connections seems slower (don't have actual speed test results). The Roku Streaming Stick+ is getting around 34 Mbps; great for 4K. There the so many streaming apps to choose from with Roku; haven't been able to try most - but great to have those options. Interface was very intuitive.
Wish it would work w/ Bluetooth keyboard, but there is a voice search option and mobile app to help with that.

Understandably, Amazon is cheaper, Google is likely your phones bestie, and Apple is luxurious. But Amazon and Google don't play nice with each other and Apple is just plain expensive. Middle ground to all these, this Roku falls right in the center taking advantage of all units. More expensive model is available but this unit is slender. Only con mentioning is remote battery drains fairly quickly... Make sure to have AAA stocked

Love the Roku interface, the easy setup and the stick features. There is an updated version, the stick 4K that adds a few small upgrades like dolby vision support, so I’d go with that unless this model is like available for like half off and you don’t really want dolby vision. The remote control is nice and it’s affordable compare to other 4K streaming devices.

We recently bought a new Samsung QLED tv and wanted to upgrade our current standard Roku stick to the 4K HDR one. We have one on our living room tv and knew the quality and what to expect. It’s even better with 4K, the remote controls our tv and Polk magnifi mini, the loading and speed is fast, the dongle that picks up better WiFi reception is great and noticeable as well. It’s easy to use and the iPhone app is great too.
