Back to basics
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Loving it so far. Gameplay wise, its the best street fighter to date. Great selection of characters old and new. Sf4 was great but i did not like revenge gauge aspect. There is the v trigger aspect but its alot more versatile which i like. My only dislikes are no arcade mode and the fact that some of my fav characters arent available (yet). Also severe fps dips with some online matches even when i have fiber internet connected directly to my modem.

Somewhere in THIS game is THE game I know and love
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Ok so despite the controversy, SFV is a GREAT game! The controls, characters, and functionality is A1! HOWEVER! If you're not a big online fan, and lack the Best Buy gamers club (much gratitude Best Buy!) then, in it's current form... May want to skip.

Typical SF beauty and control
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The only drawback to the game at launch is the lack of story mode and the online rage-quit problem. Once those are resolved, this could be a solid 5 star game. It seems a touch less technical than SF4, which could be of benefit to more casual players.

Great Game
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Street Fighter V is a great game. Right now, it does not have a whole lot of features, but will be getting regular updates. They have adopted a "Free to Play" DLC model, which means that additional characters can be paid for with ingame currency that you earn, or with cash. 16 characters off the bat with 4 new ones. They are missing a few staples though such as Sagat and Guile. They have announced at least 6 characters will be DLC down the road.

Great fighter
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.SFV is a very very good installment of the series and with good gameplay mechanics it lacks content as in no arcade mode and sub-par Story mode that should label as a "Epilogue" lol... Overall if you're a fan of the series this is a must have

Solid Gameplay, Lacking Everything Else
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. If your a person who mostly plays alone and not online, this game is incomplete for you. The normal arcade mode, vs. computer mode, etc is not available. Currently there are only 2 player lobbies online as well. The game was rushed out for the competitive players online. A patch is coming in March and in June. If you cant wait to play it, then feel free to get it now but it is a incomplete game. Story mode is a joke and way to easy right now. Once they get more characters and include the rest of the modes, then the game will be awesome.

One of the best Street Fighter games out there
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I got this game upon release, as I am an avid Street Fighter fan. I can't say that I'm dissappointed. When it comes to combat, this game is one of the best ones, if not the best one out there. The game is also the best looking street fighter game out there. I would personally recommend this game to any Street Fighter fan. If I had any complaints about the game, it would be the lack of an arcade mode and a short story mode.

Street Fighter returns!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Never has their been a better time to jump into the heat of battle! Accessible even to new players starting out or Street Fighter veterans alike, Street Fighter 5 is simple to get into but difficult to master. Perfect for anyone looking to get into a fighting game. Though, at the moment single player content is lacking, there will be additions over time as this game will continue to grow. Definitely worth the investment!

Great game, but incomplete
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The game itself is fun and has a great fighting system. The included characters are also great, really fun to play, and hard to master. If the game was complete then it would definitely be 5 stars, and it may eventually get there, but in its released state it's incomplete. There's no real single player story, there aren't very many characters compared to previous releases, and the online servers have been very spotty. Additionally, the experience system and fight money earned from playing the game are only accrued when connected to the servers, so when they're down you can't make any progress there either. I'm sure they'll get the servers under control, and a single player story is supposed to come this summer, but releasing it so broken and incomplete should be noted and deserves a star deduction.

Great Game lacking some modes and characters
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Its a great fighting game you expect from capcom. However it seems like its just 3/4 of a game not the full game. It is missing some parts such as the arcade mode and like 4 or 5 characters. It is fun but will be more fun later.

Not bad
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great for the Street Fighter lifer. Okay for the new players also. Downside is no arcade mode. Also haven't been able to play online. Didnt wait very long. Figure a minute would be enough to find a game online.

Solid Fighting Game
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Yes there is a lack of content, but the fighting in this game is the best its ever been in the street fighter series. If you are serious about fighting games, the online component is the most important part.

Buy this, but get it on PC.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.A good game. Of course, the con is that as of April 23rd, 2016, there is no cinematic story mode and the in-game store is pretty much empty. The core game is there, but not much else. Online is good for the most part, but when there is lag, it sucks pretty bad as the rollback code is not as good as MKX in my opinion. The game still needs alot of work and features implemented, but it's coming month-by-month. I think the game will be "complete" in about 2 years minimum.

Solid fighting game.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Story: Each character has a story containing about 3 one round fights. Then there is a general story, which is free DLC and can take about 3 hours to complete with cutscenes. The stories are a bit cheesy and are not interesting. Versus: Versus mode is quite the standard. Simple 1 vs. 1 matches with either a friend or CPU. Survival: Survival mode is the closest to arcade we have so far. Your stats will carry over from the previous fight to the next; however, after each fight, you are able to boost stats or regenerate health. Online: The online consists of ranked or casual matches. You're more than likely to find someone in ranked matches than casual matches. The amount of time to find an opponent can vary. I was able to find an opponent in a matter of seconds on few occasions while other times took several minutes. Content: 16 fighters with only a few stages. You can purchase additional fighters with fight money (virtual currency earned in the game 100,000 each) or by purchasing the season passes. Stages are only purchasable with fight money (prices vary from 40,000 to 75,000). Gameplay: Unlike most fighting games that provide 4 attack buttons, Street Fighter V provides 6 attack buttons. 2 low, 2 medium, and 2 high with each degree containing punches or kicks. Combinations are bit difficult to master but achievable once you find a fighter that fits your play style. Overall, Street Fighter V is a solid fighting game. If you're interested in learning to play the game and take your skills online, this game is a solid buy. However, if you are looking for a single-player experience, Street Fighter V does not offer much and are better off with another game.

fun game
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I haven't played street fighter since super Nintendo and the moves are pretty much the same with added moves and really good graphics. But I really don't care for the story mode

Fun to play but lacks content.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Any game from the SF franchise is always fun to play, which includes SF V. The problem with V is that it lacks content. Although Capcom noted that DLC and free updates will be coming at later dates, the game still feels rushed. Low number of game modes (ex. Arcade mode) and a short story mode leaves you wanting more. That doesn't take away the fun of the game though. The gameplay is great and I love the new graphics/visuals.

Nostalgic
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This game is just as great as when street fighter 2 came out . It's fun and easy to get into, both for new comers and long time players. Online mode it's where it's at fighting with friends or against the world. It has great graphics and controls. It's a must buy, 4 of my friends got it and even the 1st time player enjoys it.

Post updates purchase
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have an unfair advantage over the majority of people who played this game. I purchased it after Capcom finally came to its senses and updated this to be a more single player friendly experience. As far as Street Fighter games go this is a great addition to the time-honored franchise. I can see how the original omission some of the things that I see in the game now may have soured some longtime fans. But nevertheless Capcom came through and then created something special here. If you have not played it and wish to do so now is definitely the time to purchase it.

Great core gameplay for any fighting game lover
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a mixed bag depending on what you are looking for. SFV is a great core fighter with good overall balance. The game released bare bones and should not be bought by anyone that isn't looking to basically play online only. The March update comes next week which adds more offline content but if you are looking for all the traditional modes wait until June. The great thing about this is Capcom is releasing it as a platform vs iterations of the "super" and "ultra" editions. You can earn all DLC via in game credit by grinding the game. This model is better than charging us for new content.
