Great TV housed in overly shiny exterior

Picture is very good (inside is a nice LG panel) and the TV when it isn't bright outside looks phenomenal. However, we placed this TV in FULL SHADE next to our pool. When the sun is out, even in full shade, the sun is reflecting off the water and every other surface and the cover of this model acts as a mirror where you can see everything and everyone watching the TV or in proximity to the TV. We had it installed for less than an hour and immediately regretted not getting the anti glare panel, which we subsequently upgraded to. Not sure in what context this TV is actually viable as an outdoor unit. It would have to be in some sort of outdoor space where when the sun is out, you would be able to shut out all of the sun, like an indoor TV, or you don't plan on using this TV during the day. In any event, if you have any doubts about sun glare, upgrade to the better model and stay far away from this TV.

Posted .Hi there. Thanks for the positive comments around picture and build quality. We strive to bring our customers the best product possible. I can see how our application positioning can be a bit confusing in this case. We try to make product selection as simple as possible and offer product series for full shade (Veranda), partial sun (Signature), and full fun (Pro). In your case, the TV location is fully shaded from the sunlight, yet the sunlight is being reflected off of the pool surface, which is extremely reflective.
You made the right move. The Signature series is a better choice than the Veranda series in areas with extremely high glare or ambient light (pools, walls of glass, etc.). It has an anti-glare screen which is up to 3 times brighter than a typical indoor TV. Durability is not the only consideration. The quality of the picture in outdoor lighting conditions can make or break your outdoor viewing experience.
Our apologies for not emphasizing that reflected sunlight makes the Signature Series a better choice than Veranda series in areas with high reflected glare or ambient light. We hope you’ll be very happy with your SunBrite Signature Series 4K UHD Outdoor TV.

Best tv
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I placed the 65" against the back of house under a covered pergola that does not have sun coming through but light is allowed based on how I slanted the top of my pergola. No reflective light from pool since pool is further away and at different angle. I also contracted geek squad to install all backyard setup and they confirmed I would be ok with full shade TV before I purchased. Quality of the screen, sound system and the zones is amazing. The fact that I can control all 3 zones, music, TV with my phone is great. Watching sports in the spa or kids movie night here we come.
