For the price, this item is decent. It gets the job done if you want a basic TTL (Through the Lens) flash. However, it does not offer any options for manual settings. There is merely an on and off switch that is used for the TTL. It is nice because it keeps using the flash simple. You don't have to worry about any setting on the flash. It is like using the onboard flash. It regulates itself. This item is aimed at amatuer photographers who are just begining to learn about exposure. Personally, I recommend getting a flash that allows TTL AND manual use. To the new photographer, it may seem daunting to use a manual flash. However, learning just a few things about exposure will yeild tremendously better results than relying on TTL. That said, I would still reccomend this product for someone who wants to "plug-and-play".

I bought this flash for basic everyday use for random photos of family and pets. It's very easy to use and adjust. Quick slid into position and a hand tightening and you are off. For the size however it is a little of the heavy side but nothing that will weigh you down. The life of the batteries is a concern too as it only takes me about 150 shots before the battery needs changed. Over all not a bad flash for quick easy photos and beginner photographers

I needed a flash in a hurry to replace my 430 EX II that I left at home and didn't want to spend the money buying a new Canon flash. This flash really impressed me. Complete compatibility with my Canon 7d. Perfect exposures, great recycling time and a great price.

I had to do a last-minute shoot for an office. I haven't shot for quite a while but agreed to do it. Seeing as I was used to working in a studio, I had no flash. I bought this one because it was the only one they had for my Canon and I was pleasantly surprised!!! The lighting was perfect and I had no problems with this. I would definitely recommend this product...at least as a backup.

Previous pics that did not do well with just the flash within the camera are now excellent with this external flash. I have no complaints.

Most DSLR's come with a flash built-in. There are, however, plenty of times when that basic little light just isn't bright enough. When that happens, pull out this beast. Just be aware that this is a low-end model, and leaves out many of the bells and whistles that much more expensive models include. Still, if you don't need all the extras (due either to experience level or budget), this is a pretty good choice.

I bought this for a recent trip where I was going to be spending some time in caves and doing wildlife night hikes. The flash worked fine with my Canon 70D, but I found that flash couldn't come anywhere near keeping up with the framerate of the camera even in slow burst mode. The onboard flash could keep up at slow framerate burst for a handful of shots. Couldn't even get two out of this external flash. Might be different with lithium batteries in it,but not with alkaline batteries. I need to do some testing to figure out if this flash actually has a longer range than the onboard flash. If it doesn't, then it's not worth it. I'll try to remember to update my review once I do the test.

I purchased this flash to go with the Canon T3I kit. I was a bit skeptical because of the price, but this flash works good. That fact that it has a swivel bounce head is an added bonus. Battery life seems to be okay. I've only had the flash for a few weeks, on only have a few hundred images with it, so its a bit early to speak about long term durability, but for the price its great.

The flash has worked great so far, especially for the money. Is it as good as a flash costing hundreds of dollars?? No, for a $60 flash, it's amazing!!! Time will tell how long it lasts.

If you are new to the DSLR world then this is a great deal for you. Didn't cost a ton of money and for me personally, it does exactly what I need it to when I need it. It does add weight to the camera but not too much. As long as you turn it off when your done the batteries last a while (using rechargeable batteries helps). Does take time to get used to but as with most things in life...trial & error :)
