This seems sturdy and compact enough to carry and use when you need camera stability but don’t want a bulky tripod.

The monopod is well made with sturdy material. It has very good height. The grip feels nice and soft. I also like the carrying case it comes with.

I received a hybrid DSLR for Christmas. Great for nature shots but not steady in my hands at the max 42X zoom. This little mono-pod steadied the camera right up. Easy to open and close the extender latches. The 67" extended length puts the mounted camera a full 4" above my eyes. The only fault with this mono-pod (and any other mono-pod) is the inability to use the camera in the vertical plane instead of always horizontal. The retractable leg spike was good this winter on icy surfaces.

This monopod isn't as stiff and strong as my Manfrotto but it works well enough for my wife's Nikon D5600 with Sigma 100-400mm telephoto. It is a good value if you don't need heavy duty.

Even though it is for use to keep a camera firm, I really liked using it all the way folded up and it kept my camera still when running. 5 stars!
