This monopod worked well for the reason I bought it.
We attended a wedding and the monopod works great to stabilize the camcorder to minimize shake. Also because the extended length is 67 inch I was able to to shoot some elevated video above people on the dance floor, this provided an interesting view. While any monopod can do what this one did, this one was in stock. nice product.

While you could spend tons of money for gitzo or other expensive brands, this one does what you need at a much more reasonable price point. Definitely recommended as a bucking and backpacking supplement.

This is really a nice monopod that is well made and should last for many years. The best features are the soft foam hand grip and it comes with it's own travel case. The fact that it extends to 67" is a real plus for taller folks. It also has a retractable spike in the rubber tip which is useful for extra traction in the grass, dirt or snow. For the quality and features I think that the price is a real bargain.

Bought this monopod as I needed something quickly when I realized I forgot my regular one at home. It performs the job and held my DSLR & lens (about 8lbs total) steady with no problem.
