4K in the Swamp!

Campy but fun if you grew up watching it

Much beauty in the swamp...
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Swamp Thing comes home to 4K and fans of the movie will be happy to know that MGM has written a love letter to the original film elements. The HDR and ultra deep blacks really bring out the swamp environment. The muted shadows from dense foliage and the beam through of sunlight steal the show. A true spectacle. The details once lost in the blur of dvd resolution are now on full display here, not the least of which are Adrienne Barbeau's...assets. The European cut is here in 4K as well. Parents should be cautioned there's a substantially larger amount of adult material on display here. The HDR and the Dolby Atmos bring Swamp Thing to life like never before. The Alec Holland burning sequence and the final swamp battle look both surreal and spooky. Fantastic buy and is now easily in my top 5 4K conversions. A must own!
