I purchased this system to replace my first generation ARLO system. I was tired of changing batteries. The system was simple to configure and has many features compatible with the ARLO. The network cables that come with the system will not work with the waterproof connectors for the cameras unless you cut off the ends and replace the connectors. Most non-professionals will not have the tools to do this. The only thing I really miss is the email alerts only send a still image, ARLO attached a short video clip that allowed me tp eliminate false alerts without having to log into the NVR to look at the recorded videos. This Swann system does a great job of reducing the number of false alerts. Overall a very good system.

This is my second Surveillance System. All require materials for installation is included in the package. I'd switch over from the cloud base Arlo system due to the latancy and internet requirement. I have to say the local DVR made the video more responsive. With the Arlo my delay was around 10 seconds between whats happening live vs what is displayed on screen. With the Swann the delay is only 1 - 2 seconds.

I’ve installed and owned several Swann surveillance systems, this is my favorite. The 4K resolution and sound from the cameras’ built-in microphones make identification of potential perpetrators far more likely.

For Home Security; Hard wire is way better than wifi, as wifi can be easily manipulated. 4K clarity, looks great. Awesome investment for security minded family's. Have both Arlo Pro and this system covering my property. You will have to have a professional installer for this, not to worry Best Buy did a great job.

Very good 4K viewing. Easy to install. Very easy to get the unit connected to your phone or tablet with the QR code.

I purchased this camera system online at Best Buy and wanted desperately to like the system. I opened the box when it arrived and started looking over the contents. It's a beautiful system, BUT, in reading the quick start guide I noticed someone had written on the guide. At first I thought it was something from the factory but then realized it was a name (For the camera) and a password for the system both of which the owner would choose. In other words, someone had purchased and returned this system. The QR code which is normally located on the top of the NVR was also missing and that's needed in order to set the system up and most likely removed by the previous owner. I purchased this system at full price and expected a new unit which I did not receive. Buyer beware. This is my second attempt to rate this system and I'll continue to submit it until it is accepted. Best Buy was great in taking the product back.

Ive had this system installed for thirty days and no issues at all. I looked into piecing together an Amcrest 4K system but the Swann system has more to offer and better pricing. Another plus is taking advantage of the Bestbuy no interest for 18 months. Easy installation and setup with the QR code. The hardest part of the installation is deciding where you want to place the cameras. I added a 5mp POE camera inside my home and will be adding more 4k POE cameras in various locations. I have the NVR connected to a 2k Monitor and the display output to 2560x1440. The 4k cameras are very clear with the addition of sound. The night vision is is ok. So far I have no issues with the Homesafe View app using my iPhone.

Terrible app. Check out reviews on play store for home safe view. Basically you won't have good luck if you want push notifications when you are away. Other people complain about not getting live view when you are out. Hardware is solid.
