DVR has glitches and will stop recording on its own. Then you have to reformat the hard drive to get it working again (no it wasnt out of free space). Tech support guy had a bad attitude so I bypassed Swann support with unconventional methods to force accountability. I had one camera that was defective right out of the box too. Audio channel is humming and buzzing even though no audio is connected. Window and door sensors are poorly designed as far as mounting options go. You can only mount from the back side of each sensor. It wouldve been nice to mount from the back or the side but you cant due to shape of sensor . If your door is not flush with the door frame/trim, and the trim is not completely flat (most are not flat) the you will have to modify your trim or add spacers to the door. Key FOB is a joke. No radio frequency. It connects wirelessly to your DVR. Might as well leave it indoors and use the swannone app to arm and disarm. Graphical user interface is not user friendly, and Ive been an electronics/computer tech for 15 years. This would be a decent system for around $99-139.00, not $399. I feel like $399 is way too much for what you actually get. They really get you with the monitoring. The DVR will only notify 2 email addresses if it detects something. For 399, I should be able to email the whole family and the neighbors when something comes up. Swann wants you to pay for monitoring. No way Im doing that. Night vision is good. Instructions are really vague. At the end of the day, I dont feel lile Swann has the consumers best interest in mind. Swann has 399 of my dollars and after installing and dealing with the defective camera, Im left with a sub par system. Sure, I could return the product, but, Im not willing to uninstall the system at this point. Who wants to pull all of that wiring out and pack all this stuff up just to return it and do it all over again? Nobody! I recommend that you bite the bullet and get a higher quality, better designed, more reliable system.

I've had the cameras up for about a year and I love them. Great clear picture. Easy to use. Also easy to install. I did it on my own with no experience with cameras. Would highly recommend.

I bought this as a replacement for and old non working system HD video is crystal clear the night vision is clear. The system is expandable from 4 up to 8 cameras.

Very easy setup, had to order extra wiring due to placement of box. House is 57 ft long and had to have more...overall they have been in use for one year and. Seem to work well. Navigation isn’t overly difficult either I have not had a need to down load video and review play back quality though

Well I've had them installed for a bit now and the cameras have very good image quality for analog cameras about are as good as can be. the dvr is working great but I'm very disappointed in the fact that even tho they advertise all these 3rd party product support they actually do not at this time and when I called support to see why my chamberlain garage door wouldn't connect even tho works fine from app I wss told developers are working on support and currently only swann accessories will work but others will someday so for now even tho I bought this particular item due to its smart/connected home advertising I'm stuck using it as a security/surveillance so I'm going to get a Samsung smart hub and use it's app for my kwikset smart lock and nest thermostats and lighting

The camera system is good quality and has good potential. I would like the phone app to give notifications on motion detection and the door sensors, but not yet able to figure out if it does or not. Other than that, the system is great.

Bought the swann smart security system for my home and I couldn't be happier great picture quality awesome remote monitoring is flawless was able to use a wifi extender to connect dvr instead of running more cables across house to connect to router I like the home automation connectivity but would like to see more compatible 3rd party products I'll be adding a kwickset 914 to enhance everything else and will be upgrading to a 4tb wd purple hdd

Providing you have a large attic to pass the wires through, this Swann Security System was super easy to install and the HD picture quality is unbeatable for the affordable price. I was able to check on my house on my iPhone app, via wifi, from oveseas and anytime domestically using standard data. I highly recommend this easy to install system to those looking to save the high costs of installation.

Easy to set up equipment, picture quality is excellent. Not much info on how to record/playback or set parameters on how not to get so many emails for alerts.

Easy software installation setup, could use some improvement in the area of alerts--especially on the picture snaps--but all in all, still a good system.

Well the alarm part is a little complicated cameras are great but were the camera get screw in the base not that good cameras keep coming off ,tech support for the alarm system is only one person because i call few times and i talk to the same person good think is the she know what she is talking about she know the system i will say complete she was great even in the security cameras software to the reason why i give 5 stars is because i like them but they need to work in the material for the camera base

This Swann security camera system includes everything needed to set up a complete security system. the cameras are high quality giving you a great picture. This is easy to install and set up.

Picture and video clarity is great, set up is easy. Only issue is tech support is in the Philippines, so the language barrier makes it a little bit harder when resolving a problem.

Upgraded from my previous SwannView...better quality videos, but one thing, the email alert snaps only one screenshot as oppose to three from the pro-series that I had. Good thing is that the email can be configured to send up to 1 minute playbacks

It's definitely not the best camera out there, but for the price it does the job good enough. It is full color during the day with black and white night vision. My favorite thing is the app so I can watch the cameras from my phone.

Cameras are SUPER!! The 1080 is great!! The mounting system for the cameras was simple, sturdy, and quite easy! The setup was simple and intuitive as well. AWESOME system!! I did not even look at reviews because I just went to Best Buy because they only handle good stuff!! I did not even know what I was going to buy until I got there!! I was surprised by how fortunate I was to get such a great system!!

These cameras are easy to install and works well in our business.

I have a swann system but I decides to upgrade to this one, I’m very happy how clear you be able to see it in your monitor

This camera system is honestly great. Wide angle is great. Quality is great. Only problem I have is that to install the actual system is a little hard.
