This is a super versatile bag with a ton of space. I got this for a trip to NY and it worked great as my travel bag through the airports and around town. Taking this through security was a breeze and if they need to open it, it's just one zipper to see everything without having to disorganize anything. It has a ton of space and many pockets at different sizes. To access the inside, I clipped in the straps first, then kept the zipper at the top and stowed under the tightening strap. I’m sure this is by design because when you open that zipper between the straps, it creates four more pockets inside. The zippers are smooth and don’t get stuck with heavy duty rubber handles. When not in use, they can be stowed under the tightening straps or under the fabric covers. The bottle sleeve is surprising stretchable and could easily hold a full size gatorade bottle or a Hydroflask-type bottle. The laptop padding is thin at about 1/4”, but it’s a dense foam all around plus added protection from the 1/2” of a padded-backpad with Airflow. I have a few bags with an Airflow, but these pads are much thicker, softer, making them more effective at cooling in NY sunny spring weather. You really can’t go wrong with this bag.

Took this backpack as my carryon to Spain a few weeks ago. It worked perfectly for me. If needed, could easily fit a laptop, a change of clothes, and really whatever else you may need for an overnight trip. Has many pockets which I love. What's really cool is that the bag opens up fully like a suitcase. Just whoch there was some sort of velcro feature or something to keep the zipper from opening fully so easily. I worry that a careless mistake could result in all my belongings falling out. I think that's mostly just paranoia though, so besides that, this is a great bag!
