Great action plot of a kidnapped girl while on vacation in Paris being sold into the sex slave market. What the villains didn't count on was that her father is an Ex-CIA agent with extreme talents for such a crisis. The suspense is big and the body count is bigger. Liam Neeson's character is like another Jason Bourne. This original film spawned sequels and a made for TV series.

Of the three films in the Taken trilogy, the first one is the only one worth watching. Yes, it has a simple plot but packed with emotion as a father is desperate to save his daughter after being abducted and forced into the human trafficking business. A rare thriller that exposes the true love of a father toward his daughter, something that is celebrated in this film of self-sacrifice amidst great set pieces and amazing action and suspense. I highly recommend it.

One of my favorite action movies. Whenever I watch it I say to the bad guy "Give him back his daughter! He has a particular set of skills! He won't be happy if you don't!" The bad guy never listens. Liam Neeson puts his particular set of skills to work and the bad guys pay a dear price.

i got this because its cheap. ( in the sale isle) plus I'm a fan so i really had to get it. good to get the 1st 2nd and third to collect . it never grows old. the idea that a man would do everything, i mean literally anything even if some of them isn't realistic, why not.

This is 90 minutes of Liam Neeson hitting people in the face with his elbow. Either you love this or its not for you. Personally I watch anything with Liam Neeson in it. I thought the action scenes were very gritty and real versus what is common in most action movies now. I got the Blu-Ray copy and it also included a digital copy that you can redeem through CinemaNow, Vudu, and others.

You should already be familiar with this film is you are willing to spend money purchasing a physical copy. That goes without saying. The product quality was as expected. It works, well, and is fairly priced by Best Buy. The purchasing experience in-store was very convenient and ran smoothly. To sum up, I would recommend buying this film from Best Buy, to anyone interested.

Definitely want to own this movie as I think this is a must see movie for everyone. Action scenes are good but it is the plot and some of the lines from the movie that will make you want to view and own this movie.

This is one of the best action movies of the last decade or so that didn't revolve around comic books. This is an old fashioned action movie that packs a punch with a great story. Stop with this one. The sequels are terrible and not needed. Highly recommended!

Great action movie. Liam Neeson straight up murders a bunch of people (for understandable reasons). Gave us that great "I will find you and I will kill you" monologue that is overused on the internet. What more do you really need? A fun, entertaining movie for those who like the genre. Used a BestBuy points certificate so I got this movie for almost nothing! :)

A parent's worst nightmare when their daughter is kidnapped while on a trip to Europe. The rest of the story centers on what the father does to get her back. Luckily he has a certain set of skills to get the job done and he get's it done in a big way. Non stop action throughout this movie and the pace never slows down. I liked this movie much better than the sequel.

Liam Neeson kicks a lot of behind as an ex-CIA operative in the first and best of this 3-part franchise. When his teenaged daughter is kidnapped by international traffickers, Person's character put his combat skills to use and takes out dozens of people in his quest to rescue his daughter. A must see if you're into martial arts type movies.

Taken is a great action film that focuses on the sensitive issue of human trafficking. Neesen does an excellent job as the vigilant father, but the skill of the kidnappers (and all of those involved) really steal the show. You can't help but hate them for what they do to these women. Overall, if you're looking at this just for a good action movie, you'll find it.

It was a present to friend. I wanted to give him CD because I knew, he like watch action movies. I saw this movie earlier, so I knew it is very good action movie, and my choice was simple. And first "Taken" is the best from three Liam movies."Taken".

Taken is the movie that introduced Liam Neeson to movie audiences as a genuine badass that one does not mess with. The action sequences and story line in this movie were top notch and helped create a movie franchise. Liam Neeson does a great job and the acting all around is very good. The movie stands out in Bluray picture quality.

The Taken trilogy starts off running and doesn't slow down. It's action packed and not full of foul language (I hate that). This is Liam Neeson at his best. Watch this one, then watch Taken 2. When Taken 3 comes out, watch that one too to find out how all of this ends. Hold on, you're in for a very fast rollercoaster ride!

I had heard from people that this movie was good so when i was at Best Buy last it was excellent price so i bought the first movie. Liam Neeson is an awesome actor. I really like action movies. Good plot. Looking forward to getting the next 2 movies and will probably get them when at Best Buy next

I purchased this movie because it's a great film. I have the DVD and wanted to see what it was like on Blu-ray...quality is amazing. Plus I saved enough money with my other purchases that I figured I'd splurge a little more. This film doesn't disappoint and the price added even more value to it. Thank you Best Buy.

Great story with a positive male role model going to get his daughter back! It also sheds light on the actual worldwide problem of human trafficking. Too bad they ruined the greatness of this gritty piece with two horrible sequels.
