I have been using this on my Nikon D500 and have been very satisfied. While it may not be very fast lens, it is more than adequate for 90 percent of what most photographers would use it for, namely landscapes. One thing that I would recommend is to turn off vibration reduction when camera is mounted on a tripod. The VR in this situation does make the photo a little less sharp. Good wide angle lens for the price.

If you're thinking about spending a fortune to get the Nikon or Canon version of this lens, think again and consider getting the Tamron for a much lower price, but with all the same capabilities. I love the zoom function and the wide angle is able to get A LOT in the frame. I love this lens!

I was previously using a Nikon 10-20mm which in retrospect, feels somewhat cheap after using this Tamron. One of the tabs on the Nikons plastic lens mount broke which led to some issues with that lens. This Tamron feels solid, and from what I’ve seen so far using it for real estate takes great photos. Also nice to have that extra bit of range with it going up to 24mm.

The zoom covers a very useful range, operates smoothly, and picture quality is very good. Compared to the Nikon 10-20, I feel this lens is well worth the extra cost.

Overall nice lens for wide shot. Make noise while focusing sometime but manageable
