Having a 50mm and a 35mm already I debated this lens for nearly a year before purchasing it. I will be working as a second shooter for my first wedding in the summer and didn't feel my current lenses would work as well. So far I am very happy with this lens. Especially in low light. It seems much sharper. And I am finally getting the images I see in my mind into the camera. I have also taken some great landscape photos. It is on the heavy side, as other reviewers also said, but definitely sturdy. This was a huge purchase for me but I have no regrets.

I seen a video on YouTube and they shown how much sharper this lens is at 2.8 compared to the Nikon and I was interested. I held off on buying it, thankfully. The main reason was I saved even more money because they marked this lens down even more. I jumped on it and I'm so happy. This lens is extremely sharp and worth every penny.

This lens blows away so many lenses out there that are so much more expensive. The glass on this is pure quality and produces amazing photos when using on a FX camera.

This lens is a great money saving alternative to the nikkor lens of the same specs. Looking forward to taking this on vacation to see how it adapts to diverse conditions.

I purcahse this lens because of the price difference between the Nikon 24-70 f2.8 w/o VR. This lens has great image quality and the the vc is awesome. But, the VC does need time too "warm up" when in use. When shooting, if you don't feel that "jolt" that indicates the vc is working, expect a blurry picture is hand held below 1/60 shutter speed. I usually fire off a pic beforehand to get the vc "warn', then its great afterwards. If the 24-70 is your be all or go to lens. I would get the Nikon w/o VR instead. The Nikon with VR is an overprice awful lens. If you need a lens for low light, then I recommend the Tamron
