I love the coil so that all the cabling isn't laying around but allows a bit of length when needed. The number lock is so much better than trying to remember where the key is. Keep your laptop secure!

I actually had to convince my daughter that she needed a lock for her computer. With her being a freshman she had no idea. She now thank me for getting her this lock. She say that it makes her feel secure when she have to use her computer outside of her dorm room.

Great for when you're at a café or library. You will have to wrap it around something sturdy so your laptop will be safe. Like the fact that if you forget the code, there's a way to reset it.

This lock is compact and serves its purpose as a deterrent. The cable seems light duty. The lock is easy to use and to set the numbers.

I use this for both business and personal trips to secure my laptop while traveling. The cord expands more that it initially appears to - which is good considering having to secure around larger items. The combination lock provides a quick way to unlock.

I bought this for my son and his new laptop when he went to college this fall. I have seen them before and know how quickly a laptop can be picked up and stolen. He has it set up in his dorm room and can bring it with him to the library or class/lab.

Very secure lock. It works easily and securely as promised. It looks well with the laptop I purchased. Stronger than other cables that I looked at that cost a little more.

Love the coiled wire keeping this compact in my bag. The non-coiled locks make me feel like I have a lasso of thick wire in my bag that I have to twist-tie in two spots to keep from unraveling in my bag!

Up until I found this coiled Laptop lock cable with combination lock, I was having to use a long basic cable with key. The problem was when I would be working in a conference room or large open room for an extended time, I would need to lock up the laptop. One day, I left the key in my car, and my car was in the shop. So I found this cable that doesn’t take as much room, and I got to set the code for locking/unlocking.

I needed to secure my Dad's laptop to a desk in a nursing home. This item worked well. My only criticism would be that I wish the cable were longer.

The combination lock works best for me. No key to lose. But the best part is that with the coiled cable I do not have to fight with coiling the cable and keeping it coiled. Solves the storage issue.

I purchased this lock to secure my daughter's laptop as she was moving into a college dorm. It was easy to set the combination and will provide peace of mind knowing the laptop won't be stolen.

Wanted to protect my daughter's college computer with something strong, but also wanted something at a good price. This fit the bill.

To avoid having a laptop disappear at college I got my kid this lock down cable. It needed to be usable yet unobtrusive so that it would not get ignored. This cable meets those criteria. I noticed that it does not get used constantly as sometimes locking and unlocking is just "an annoyance" to college kids. Its hard to tell if that is due to the cable or simply due to college kids not thinking about using it much. For that reason I will not give it top marks. If I ever find out I will update my score.

this works well and will keep your laptop or anything that takes the kensington lock in place when you come back for it. The coil keeps it organized, I bought two and they are fantastic.
