Maintained a charge, but did not charge my battery

Owned for 1 month when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.This product kept my laptop turned on while it still had a charge (HP Pavilion Gaming Laptop). When I made the mistake of shutting down the computer, it wouldn't turn on again. So this power cord was powerful enough to maintain the charge, but not powerful enough to actually charge the laptop. I will say, however, that this charger DID NOT fry my battery, as some universal chargers are known to do. Once I got my original charger back, the laptop still works perfectly.

Posted .As your laptop is a gaming laptop it most likely requires more than the 90W provided by our power adapter to charge properly. Most gaming laptops on average ask for anywhere from 130 up to 230 or more watts. Our adapter provides enough to keep it on at times but both the laptop and charger struggle for this and it could damage both.

No tips fit except for the latest ones. They also make sure they scientifically formulate the exact tips you get to make sure you only fit about half of the super common laptops so you got to, yup guess what BUY a expansion kit with more tips. If you have an older Targus Universal laying around oh well that's exactly what it is. The tips can't be shared! So do you want a tip for me? Amazon, Wish app, eBay,,,,, I just bought it cuz I needed it that day and I could have been a complete communist and just brought it back ...but I don't believe in renting merchandise like that, it's not honest. But only buy this if you're desperate and in a hurry

Didn't include correct connection to ASUS laptop

If time is of the essence, it may be better to turn elsewhere for a solution - but it worked in the end.

It is possible that this may due to a less than full connection of the plug into the computer. This connection seemed iffy when I first connected the charger, and I found that from time to time I would have to press the plug into the computer with a bit of extra force to get a charge indication.

So I had about an hour to play games then it would run out of battery. Then I would have to charge for a couple of hours to get another hour of time. Might be fine for machines that consume less power, but for a gaming laptop was not good at all.
