I was trying to judge the right size TV for the space i needed it and the 50" was the perfect size. I was recommended to buy the TCL by a family friend who is very technical and said i would not be disappointed with the sharpness and clarity of the picture and he was so right. It was very easy to set up and program. I liked it so much I purchased a smaller model for a guest bedroom.

It is a replacement and because of the smaller room, decided to downsize to a 50", picture quality is excellent and great colors. Only thing is some of the stations it has to be turned up high, maybe because actors are not talking loud-don't know-didn't have that problem with the 55", but with the room being small it's okay. I recommend this TV if you're looking for a good tv.

Great tv for us to move in and out of the house very easy set up

Easy to use, especially going back and forth from roku to antenna to nintendo. Picture quality is good for the price. I like it for my kids since if they put a hole in it, meh it waa under 400 so not worth the insurance and hassle of trying get repaired. Just chyck it in the garbage heap. The remote is easy to use and my 4 year old can use it. I mat get the 75 inch under 700 once it hits that low price for my wife.

Purchased for back patio. Light weight made for easy and safe installation into mortar. After some picture and sound setting modifications, it is more than adequate for entertaining. Considering adding BT speakers later. I will cover when not on use, so we shall see how long my $400 lasts. So far it is great.

This is my first TCL tv, so I had some concerns before placing my order. The backlights are going bad on my 5-year-old LG, and I'm using this TV mainly to watch sports and TV shows. I wanted to spend under $400. Two bad things before the good. There is a strong plastic smell that I've never experienced with other TVs. The TV shipped with tape on the screen, which was hard to remove. The bezel usually has tape on it but not the screen. I removed it without damaging the screen. I expected this TV to perform similarly to the Vizio V series. This TV performs better. You can make the TV brighter or darker based upon the brightness of your room. The Roku system doesn't take long to set up if you have an account. Roku currently has all of the popular apps anyone would want and so far has run smoothly. There is a little bit of dirty screen effect, but it's mostly not noticeable. I watched hockey, basketball, and football on this TV. I didn't notice any motion blur. Same when I played my PS4. This is a good, basic TV for most uses. If you're looking to buy a TV under $400, try this TCL.

Bought this TV for our bedroom. I'm enjoying tcl 50 in with smart roku tv. The sound is still amazing even without the sound bar. Very easy to set up and added tcl sound bar sound is fantastic.
