You get a lot of TV for your money these days. This one has a nice picture and the build in speakers are not terrible (I eventually purchased a soundbar - now that I have it I think I would have gotten by without). Picture is somewhat spectacular, when one streams 4k video it's like looking through a window. Well, maybe that is true for all 4k TV's, I don't know, but I find the picture of this TV quite nice. You have to spend a lot more to get an even more impressive picture - and I do not know if one really appreciates that if one doesn't have the direct comparison as in the store anymore. I use Prime for streaming, bluray/dvds and I download misc European TV shows as mp4s onto usb sticks that plug in directly and play well through the build in Roku player. All that works great for me. It's not just a good picture, the TV itself looks good as well. Nice modern minimalistic design. I like the round status indicator. I am very pleased. Are there things that could be done better? Hmm, I can't figure out how to skip the intros and pre-show teasers that I can skip on prime streaming on my computer... well, I will live... I have to use my computer to download European shows. My friends in Sweden and England and the Netherlands and Germany can stream that directly from their Roku TVs. I don't seem to be able to install the European TV apps as they can. Not sure why, apparently I am ok playing their programming, some content is geoblocked, but a fair amount can be played back over here. But the memory stick kludge works fine.

I really like the picture quality for this tv, Vivid picture and that color stands out. Good sound for average use, but if you want that theater sound, get a sound bar. The build in Roku system is awesome. This tv has 4 HDMI inputs,, 4,, almost unheard of these days for a budget tv,, even some of the higher end tvs only have 3. A big deal if you have multiple HD devices you want to plug into your tv. So, this tv is great.... But it had a Burning Chemical Smell for Two Weeks! Came close to returning it, But I really liked this tv, So I Googled the issue, it turns out TCL spray some sort of chemical during the manufacturing process of their tvs to protect some of the electrical components inside the tv from corrosion. And, in some cases, during the first few days of normal use, as these tvs start heating up, which is normal, the excess chemical starts burning off, until it's finally burned off/gone. And, yes the smell finally went away. Half of me wanted to give this tv a 4 star rating, it was a rough two weeks we went through tolerating that smell. But, the other half does really, really likes this tv, and doesn't want the over all rating to go down on this tv because of my review....
Conclusion: It is a very good tv for the price, picture quality is great, sound is good. I do recommend it,,, it was just my luck I ended up with a unit that had that smell, but it did go away.

For a "budget" 4K flat screen. so far this tv checks off all the boxes. The picture is a big step up from some of the name brand we have owned over the years of the same size. It was easy to set up. We purchase an additional sound bar which make the sound even better. But those who are big time gamers and just want to watch regular TV, the sound quality is adequate.

So far the TV is great. The colors are vibrant. The sound coming out of the TV is not awesome. I would give it a 7 out of 10 for the sound. The picture is a 10. The Roku interface is easy to navigate. And one great thing for this TV is that the screen has no border. It's screen is flushed too the edge. The backing to the TV is metal which is a plus. The section where the inputs are located is the only section that is made of plastic.

Bought this as a replacement for our bedroom tv that was showing its age . I was somewhat hesitant to go with a budget set but for the price and what little use it will go through it was well worth it. The picture quality is pretty decent, not anywhere near my living room set ( LG OLED) but I knew there would be no comparison. Roku is built in but I do not use it . I use a Apple TV 4K as my main streaming device. Setup is pretty straightforward, hook it up , scan for OTA channels, set up the WiFi for updates. The remote is streamlined, basic Roku remote but the App is available and I strongly recommend you download it , makes the experience much better. The 4K quality seems good ,again this is no OLED so don’t expect to be blown completely away. The Apple TV acknowledged the Dolby Vision setting it will stream in Dolby 4K . The picture is good and enjoyable. Sound quality is good . For what I paid I’m not gonna complain, I’ve definitely seen worse. We will see what kind of longevity this set gives .

Super easy to set up out of the box. Picture is clear and sharp, almost too sharp. All my shows feel really "fake" now. I can't ignore costuming errors, poor quality makeup and bad cgi. It starts to get distracting from the drama and action. And shaky, hand-held, camera action is much harder to watch without feeling a little sick. On the flip side, documentaries, animations and wildlife videos are really great.

I had it for some time now, never had any issues. Picture quality is amazing for the money. Best color of any TV in this price range. Roku TV is simple and to the point. Sound is also alright. I tried a few other TVs on the same price range from different brands, and honestly for me this one is the best at this price range!

Took a chance trying a new brand. Impressive picture. Colors are vibrant, tv is not too bright. One of the biggest features I was looking for was the ability to passthrough Dolby Atmos sound, which it does. One thing I don't care for is the fact the tv has to be connected to the WiFi in order to watch DVD's but not a deal breaker.

Great tv for the price. We wanted something that was simple and had a good reputation. We've had good success with TCL so far and you can't beat the price point. I bought two of these (one as a gift) and they are both great, look good, easy to set up, and hoping they last. The sale price was worth the risk.

This TV has a great quality picture, the sound is amazing it will blast you out of a room just on 25. If you are looking for a smart TV that is easy to set up and navigate then I recommend this purchase. However if you are looking for a standard TV with a traditional remote this is not the TV for you.

I'm surprised that everything that I was looking for is in one tv... Roku tv, YouTube tv, Apple tv... that's right! I can watch my Apple movies without hooking up my Apple TV device... tons of apps you can select from. The picture is super clear, no extra wires, easy set up... I'm super pleased...

Great TV! Easy to maneuver from one app to another. Great picture quality and lots of options! Very easy to add new apps or take away apps no longer desired. Very light and easy to move if you choose to move to another area or room. Great TV for a reasonable price.

Crisp picture and lovely colors. I really enjoy the Dolby picture. Everything worked great except the remote. Disappointed it worked the first day, but after set up it quit! Best Buy couldn’t replace it, I had to buy it online, but Best Buy gave me the money back.

In general I really like this TV. At this price I got 4K, HDR and it's been solid. It's even endured a little abuse from our cat and the screen doesn't look scratched or damaged.
Do note that the baseline image didn't look great. I spent some time googling good video settings for this unit and with a few tweaks it looked great.
The only strange issue we've had is with 4K content on Netflix. It tends to look wrong. For example a white background will flash little distortions of black and gray. The distorting flickering would show up on shows like Altered Carbon and The Crown (Netflix 4K original). It's enough to make that content unwatchable. It's just 4K content with a 4K plan, and it's only on Netflix (Amazon Price Video 4K content looks great for example). We ended up downgrading our Netflix package so it didn't include Premium 4K video, and the problem went away. Rebooting the TV would briefly solve this problem but only briefly. I never got to the bottom of this issue but everything still looks great and we haven't really felt like we are missing much.
The in-built speaker sound is ok. We use just that and we're ok with it. But we're not terribly picky about sound quality.

We purchased this as a second TV for my son's room while he's visiting. It was fairly easy to setup physically on a stand and installing apps like Hulu, etc. was a breeze. The picture is fantastic and works well with gaming software. We are very pleased with our purchase.

I first bought this TCL for my Son. It was light and easy to install on the wall. The picture was decent and the sound was good considering I have a hearing impairment. I then needed a second TV for my sitting area. It comes with Roku built in so there is an added expense which I saved on.
Overall its a very good deal

Not the tv that I was shopping for but I am very happy with it. Seems to be very good quality and very easy to use. Set up was very easy, almost automatic. Roku built in was also easy to set up. Have had no problems and has a clear and bright picture.
