This tv makes my old 1080p tv look even better on the standard xbox one and ps4. Even old content on Netflix my favorite show looks more sharper like That's 70's Show. Overall, I'm pleased with the quality but I'm hoping there's an firmware update for tv to have game mode enabled with local dimming. Which it should have, maybe it's only for tcl607 and not tcl605? Anywho, great tv. Will do great with the Xbox One X this coming year.

This tv is no slouch. The Roku interface works well enough, the HDR is nice. The different picture settings are nice as well. Asthetically it’s a good looking tv, fits in just fine. It’s not like the higher end Samsung’s or Sony’s but it costs so much less. I bought this for use with PS4 Pro and my gaming PC. One of the reasons is the very low input lag not as good as a dedicated gaming monitor but it’s the best of multiple worlds. The only quarrel I have with this tv is the sound is awful. But a good sound bar takes care of that just fine.

Best 55" HDR 4K TV for the money

If you are looking for a REAL 4K HDR TV that doesn't cut corners on the HDR and other tech, but aren't looking to spend $1,000 or more, you can't go wrong with this set. It blows away everything in its price range or even a few hundred above. The colors and resolution are superb. I'm blown away every time I fire up my consoles or play a bluray or even streaming Netflix. I highly recommend the P-series TCL sets!

I’ve had this for several weeks now, and got rid of cable. Having Roku built in is nice, I use it mainly to stream YouTube TV. I have an antenna hooked up and this tv shows a guide for OTA channels. Adding a USB thumb drive allow you to pause and rewind OTA broadcasts. I’m no tv expert, but the picture is great. I’m not a big fan of the remote, I wish you could enter numbers but it doesn’t have any on it. Also the sound is a little weak, but I use a surround system so not a problem for me.

For the price this TV is currently unbeatable with the features it has. The 4k, HDR, Dolby Vision, low input lag for gaming, and excellent Roku smart interface are everything I could wish for. Compare the specs of this TV to ANY other TV in this price range and even higher, and you simply won't find a better deal. The HDR specs in similar priced TVs from LG and Samsung pale in comparison. Money well spent on this TV.

I must say I am impressed. It is not OLED, but for the price this is a great unit. I am a Television Producer by trade and I have been looking at TV screens my entire career and I must say that this TV delivers a great picture. It have HDR and is back lit, not side lit. If you are on a budget and still care about quality of picture, this is one for you.

This TCL P-Series Roku TV CANNOT be beat when it come to specs per dollar! 55", 4K, HDR10, Dolby Vision, Roku Built-In, 72 Zone FALD, and the list goes on...for $600!!! A TV from any other manufacturer with these specs would set you back $1500-$2000. This TV has been reviewed by some professionals as the best overall 55" TV in existence. After owning it, I can happily say that I agree! Don't believe me, check out the professional reviews for yourself! And then...BUY IT!!!

I've had a few weeks to experience this tv and am extremely happy with the features and value that I paid for. The roku is a fantastic addition and wonderful tool that I wonder how I've ever lived without. There are not many tvs out there that can do Dolby Vision, HDR, HDMI ARC, dimmer zones, high gamut color, built in tv tunner. I'm also using an updated 4k receiver so I am not concerned about the number of inputs. At the time, I am only using 2 of the hdmi inputs. I recommend getting a long term warranty whether you use geek squad/square trade to protect your investment.

TCL’s market-share gaining champ has full array local dimming, an awesome roku interface, and is wonderfully adjustable with tons of you’ll-want-em features. At $599-ish it is a perfect value. Replaced wife’s bedtroom tv (with her PS4) with this beast and added a pair of Swan bookshelf speakers. I still see her around once in a while, lol!

This has been a great TV w/ no issues for over 2 years now. TCL was less known when purchased, but has come along as one of the top 2 best value TV brands since then. Will definitely consider purchasing another TCL in the future. ROKU us as simple a UI and is very user friendly. Other Smart TV brands have their own app platforms which are buggy, require frequent updating or have bloatware, not the case with ROKU.

We were in the market for a 4K TV to pair with our Xbox One X in our newly finished basement. After researching different brands, including Sony, Vizio, and LG, I discovered reviews praising the TCL for its value and decided to check it out in person. My wife and I compared it side-by-side with a much more expensive Sony model, and the TCL looked just as good. At hundreds of dollars less, it was a no-brainer. The 4K picture quality is excellent with both the Xbox and our Apple TV 4K, and the user interface looks nice and is easy to navigate. We love this TV.

This TV is a great choice if this is the budget range you are in for a 55" 4K HDR TV. The picture quality is better than most other TVs at this price range. HDR content looks great, and it's nice to see a lower end TV that supports Dolby Vision. The design of the TV is pretty basic, and it would be nice if the Best Buy version came with the RF remote instead of the IR one. The RF remote has a couple other nice features: find me button on the TV and headphone jack for private viewing. The speakers are not great, but that's pretty much to be expected. Get a decent sound bar with this TV.

You absolutely cannot beat the picture quality and features for the price. Sound is horrendous, so you definitely need a sound bar, and I wish it had the enhanced remote that the Amazon version does, but I am very very pleased with the TV overall. It's the same picture that you would pay almost double or more for with a Samsung or a Vizio.

This is a very good TV definitely recommend it for the price and it does hold up well to more costly competition. I do recommend that you do look up calibrations for this television to get the best results a picture quality I also recommend downloading the Roku app so you can get extra menus that are not accessible on the television if you want the very best picture you have to put the work in definitely worth it

I purchased this tv because I needed a 4ktv to game on with low input lag. This tv comes in at about 14ms on all inputs on game mode. Your not gonna beat that unless you get a gaming monitor. One of the issues is the hdmi mode. To get my pc working in 4k 60hz I have to manually switch the tv to hdmi 2.0 mode. I don't know it could be my hdmi switch but my shield tv glitches when I turn to it's input. I have to change the input on the tv then go back to the shields input to get a proper picture. The value to money ratio is insane for this tv you won't find a better value at $600.

PROS: This TV is very user friendly. Since it is a smart TV, this TV is a perfect solution for people who want to eliminate multiple remotes from accessing Netflix, Hulu, and amazon prime video. And since this is a Roku TV, more “channels” are at your fingertips. The Roku app on your phone allows for private listening too. 4K UHD video looks amazing. Great TV for the price point! CONS: for some reason, 4K HDR on Netflix and Amazon Prime Video looks dark and you have to fiddle around with the settings to get a vivid picture. Meanwhile, 4K HDR videos on YouTube look glorious. Also corners are slightly darker in bright scenes.

I've never purchased a TV from TCL before. This one had almost no reviews on it but I felt like taking the gamble on it. I am very surprised at how good the TV is. The picture quality is great and the HDR support is very good. There is some minor viewing angle color shift but this is to be expected from a VA panel TV. This is definitely one of the best value HDR TV's you can get. Based on reviews from rtings this TV is also great for HDR PC and console gaming.

This tv is great and a very reasonable price did a lot of research on 4K and hdr TVs and this tv was highly recommend. It’s a lite tv and it looks great it replaces a 55 in lg and all I can say is wow the roku is great and when you watch Netflix in hdr it only gets better and not to mention it also has dolby vision and hdr and not a lot of tvs have both for this price
