This 4K HDR capable TV has amazing picture quality, however, the quality control is severely lacking. The set that was delivered did fine for streaming content and OTA TV. But once I hooked up a Blu-ray player, I realized there was connectivity problems with the HDMI ports (and this issue affected all of them). I bought the Geek Squad protection, and will likely utilize that to have the TV repaired/replaced with one that has fully functioning HDMI ports. The specific issue my ports had was that the image would appear, but everything would be green. I double checked the settings on the TV, tried different ports, different cables and even different Blu-ray players, and while they all worked fine on another TV, this TCL TV would always have a green cast to things (as if the red and green signal wasn't being interpreted). That said, I would recommend this TV just on the sheer value of it. I would strongly recommend getting the 5 year warranty they offer because they will come to you if there's any problems with the TV. I'd also strongly recommend testing all the features of the TV (including ports) so you can get it exchanged if you receive a dud. If you're willing to cope through those issues, it's an extreme value. My final score, two stars, reflects that while this TV is an excellent value, QC should still be better.

This is my 2nd 4k tv and first TCL and I am going to buy another one. Great picture. Roku is the best smart platform by far.

With hdr as the new standard along with zone dimming, the tv looks great and hits all the marks for a great price.
