    Disappointed

    When I first bought this tv everything was great. After having the tv about 4 months, on start up I'd get a grey screen and have to hard rest the tv every to get it to properly display. TCL sent someone to repair the tv, but of course they were unable to reproduce the problem, and said it was probably due to a faulty hdmi cable not properly plugged in and left. I then moved the tv back to my living room where it still started having a grey screen again. I am frustrated and now have to go through TCL support again. Will not get another tv from this company.

    Good TV but not worth the money

    TCL is a good tv that shows well, but I had some problems out of my remote. Sometimes I would have to unplug the tv in order to make my remote work again. In addition, my son cracked the screen on the TCL, and I called geek squad and they said they didn’t even have the screen to fix it. The manufacturer doesn’t even have the screen. I called a local repair shop and they said that TCL changes the screen on these TVs so often in order to make people have to buy another tv. It’s a good tv but I will be spending my money with them again.

      Sorry you’re not getting the same great experience that the vast majority of users are getting and performance that has prompted reviewers to call this the “best 55” non-OLED TV”. As physical damage is not covered, we only hope that your tv getting smashed doesn’t prevent you from trying us again.

    Buyer Beware - Short Life!

    Purchased 11/17 and as of 1/20, it does not work at all. Very disappointing, and there is no recourse. Paid close to $700 originally, and now I see it was last priced at $59.99. In my opinion, a decent TV that doesn't last more than 2 years is not even worth the $59.99. Will never purchase TCL again. As for the fact that it is a "value brand", we have 3 Insignia TVs that all work fine and are 5+ years old.

    Poor quality

    I strongly don't recommend buying this TV or TCL products in general because of the poor quality of TCL products. The TV stopped working (blank screen) after 14 months, I called TCL support and tried the reset bu that didn't work. After that the support person gave me the standard line that this TV warranty is only 1 year.

    Bricked TV, no help

    I was actually a really big fan of this TV for the first year I owned it. It was working fine one night and then the next morning, it turns on with only the backlight and no video. I am one month of warranty and TCL pretty much told me I am out of luck. If their TVs won't last longer than a year and they refuse to do anything about it, I think I'll stick to buying different brands in the future.

    Great until it’s not…

    Great to, plenty of features. Works well, looks great until one day it just wouldn’t turn on again. It will cost as much as the tv to have it serviced. No thanks. Time for something else.

    Constant grey screen

    The tv worked great for a month and the picture was fantastic, but now it needs to be factory reset every day (and it takes several attempts at that) in order to get the picture. It constantly shows a blank grey screen, making it functionally useless.

    Not compatible for hdr with Ps4 or Xbox one s

    I bought this tv specifically to play hdr content on my two game systems and it doesn't work on either so I'm pretty disappointed. I even tried to call TCL to figure it out and they were completely useless.

      Sorry for your confusion. This TV is definitely compatible with HDR gaming from both the Xbox and PlayStation consoles. If you haven't done so already, make sure you've switched your HDMI inputs to reflect HDMI 2.0, under the TV settings.     Garbage television
