An excellent upgrade over our previous Philips TV. The Google TV system is very responsive, but may degrade over time with many apps installed. Only time will tell about the potential degredation but for now it's great! The 144 hz VRR HDMI port is great for PC gaming or just having 120 hz for modern consoles (e.g. Xbox series X/S and PS5) is fantastic and looks phenomenal for either use case. For around $500 this is a great bang for the buck TV.

For the price, this TV has very good specs and a beautiful picture (once you turn off some of the Automatic picture adjustments). But there are a few things that could be better:
1. There's no real manual (items #2, #4 below belong in a manual)
2. The remote does not have Pause/Start, Fast Forward, Rewind buttons for controlling streaming media. I found out (by googling) that the OK button can be used for Pause/Start and the two arrow buttons on either side of the OK button will do Fast Forward and Rewind.
3. The USB ports currently support USB drives up to 32GB or smaller in size, which is ridiculous! If you insert a USB drive larger than 32GB it says there's a problem with the USB device! You can hardly find USB drives that small anymore. My 10 year old Samsung TV supported USB drives over 32GB in size.
4. I want the TV to default to HDMI port 1 by default when it is turned on, however that is not possible as it always defaults to Google TV. Later I found out that you can set the power on default to be the Last Used input, which helps but is not the best solution because I want it to ALWAYS power on to the HDMI port 1.
5. The TCL app on iOS cannot discover my TV, no matter what I tried. I tried both the WiFi and Bluetooth options and the app always said no devices were discovered. Do they ever test compatibility of their devices and their app?
6. The Input ports on the back of the TV have very little space. As a result some of my HDMI cable connectors were too large, forcing me to try and insert them at an angle which might damage the port on the TV. I bought new HDMI cables that had smaller, thinner connectors in order to safely connect my HDMI devices.
7. The volume level indicator only tells you whether you're turning the volume up or down. I would prefer if it showed you a number for the volume level. That way you could set the volume to a consistent level.
If TCL could fix these things this would have been a 5 star review.

This TV offers an exceptional viewing and gaming experience at an excellent price. The mini LED display isn’t quite as premium as OLED, but you cannot beat the display quality at this price point. Gaming provides an immersive, beautiful experience at a smooth 60fps. I haven’t tried 4K gaming at a higher frame rate, but I wouldn’t be surprised if that performed exceptionally well also. Overall, you can’t beat the visuals for the price.

Fantastic TV. We bought this to replace our living room TV that receives a lot of sun and use, and after nearly a year this TV has improved our media experience in spades. The image quality, colors, lack of ghosting or tears, gaming experience, and pretty much everything is a fantastic experience. In terms of negatives, I'll let you know when I find any! Side note, this TV says it isn't an OLED, but you could totally fool me with it, its quality of blacks is stunning and pleases my techy side. Cannot recommend this TV enough.

Absolutely stunning TV! The TCL QM7 delivers vibrant colors and incredible contrast with its QLED display. The brightness is top-notch, perfect for any lighting condition. Gaming is smooth with low input lag, and the built-in Google TV interface is super user-friendly. For the price, this TV punches way above its weight—5 stars all the way

Excellent colors, clarity, fast and smooth. If you're on the fence about it.... get it. You will not be disappointed. Amazing Tv for the price. Coming from a 2019 samsung tizen tv. Google tv is smooth and has the same or more free channels just like the samsung. Just buy it!

I purchased the 55Q751G last week, from Best Buy. After it was all set up, it took me about 1-1/2 hours, to find all the various Audio, Picture Calibration, Internet Connection, CEC, Apps, etc., settings, to make all adjustments. I have DTV Satellite and a DENON AVR that outside sources connect to the Denon, first, then output to TV using eARC and Dolby Surround system.
I had some scouting to do, with the TCL/Google remote, for what buttons, for what various TV adjustments, etc. It was a learning process that took time. I used the TUBI App and watched a couple movies, but how do I get out of the TUBI app, back to my Satellite TV programing? I got that figured out by using the Denon AVR remote for button that says, "Cable TV."
TCL with ROKU was much more User Friendly. I plan to go back in and see if I can set-up Roku and use that, which I am very familiar with.
I did look at the Roku TV higher end TV. Then read that Roku TV, not being a TV mfg, utilized TCL or Hisense manufacturing. The TCL 55QM751G, is manufactured in Mexico, according to my box label.
The Picture Quality on the TCL 55QM751G is OUT OF THIS WORLD for MOVIES! The Denon AVR has upscaling from 1080i video from DTV Satellite. The TCL has some upscaling too, from streaming providers. I am very HAPPY with this TCL 55QM751G[2024 Model] This TCL replaced a 9 year old TCL Roku and my wife has a 2 year old TCL S555 Roku

I've never owned a TCL TV before, so I wasn't sure if the quality would be there - but it is. The sound is good. The picture is excellent. Assembling the stand and attaching it to the screen part was very easy. The remote is easy to navigate. There are loads of settings to make the picture pretty much exactly how you want it. Setting up all of our streaming accounts went smoothly and was a breeze to do.

I recently purchased the TCL 55” QM7 from Best Buy, and I am absolutely thrilled with this TV! The vibrant colors completely captivated me. The display produces stunningly vivid hues that bring every scene to life, capturing nuances that I hadn't noticed before on my previous TV. Whether watching animated features or high-octane blockbusters, the color accuracy and richness of the QM7 is unparalleled at this price point.
Equally impressive is the TV's handling of black levels. The QM7 excels in delivering deep, true blacks that add an incredible depth to the picture. The contrast between the blacks and vibrant colors creates a detailed and immersive viewing experience that rivals even some higher-end models.
The setup process at home was a breeze, thanks to the intuitive user interface common to TCL televisions. Connectivity options are ample, accommodating all my gaming consoles, Sound bars and streaming devices effortlessly. Only Downside is handling of brightness levels when streaming devices are in use. I use firestick and had to reduce the brightness levels in the TV.
Overall, the TCL 55” QM7 is a remarkable TV that delivers on all fronts. I couldn't be more pleased with my purchase from Best Buy and highly recommend the QM7 to anyone in the market for an impressive home entertainment upgrade!

I use this for a computer monitor to edit high volume school photos. This is an excellent, sharp and color accurate led at a really great price! I also watch movies when I have down time editing and the HDR colors pop right off the screen!

I have this in the bedroom. It is a very bright TV so I had to really decrease the brightness because it stays on all night. That kinda took away the really great picture but don't feel like tweaking to make it better. The sound on this is great though, no soundbar needed.

I bought the 55” version of the QM7. Brightness, color and sound were great for the pricepoint. Best qled for the $ hands down. Only reason for the 4 star review is the lag that happens sometimes during movies or anything streaming. I have read others speak on it as well. Its better with the more recent update, but a software fix would definitely put this tv at a 5 star for sure. Overall, great television that punches past its pricepoint.

This is my second TCL TV. I bought the first one in 2021 and loved it, but unfortunately, it broke down after three years. Despite this, I decided to purchase this one because I’m impressed with the picture quality and the price. So far, it’s been great. The colors are vibrant, and while the picture quality isn’t as impressive as a high-end TV, it’s still satisfying for the price I paid.

Great tv. Picture is awesome, plenty of brightness for my sunny living room. Sound quality is great, gets plenty loud and I like the bass enhance feature. I didn’t my use the smart functions very much, as I have an Apple TV, but the few times I’ve played around with them they seemed good. Overall highly recommend.

Great TV But Missing Refinement

I overall really liked the tv - super bright, google os, quality build and great built in speakers. However it felt like it was missing some processing power for upscaling and refinement of cinema modes. I ended up buying a five year old Sony bravia 55x950G and swear movies look better. So that being said…. you cant beat the technology this packs for the price but I am not sure it replaces some of the newer Sony mid/high end models. I feel like its a component tv but lacks the R&D other brands offer (at a price) and out of the box calibration.

This tv has 120 hz and 144 hz refresh rates at a 4k resolution. It's worth the upgrade from a 60 hz tv to play games on my playstation and especially my gaming PC for competitive gaming on a TV. Picture quality is great, there are prefab options for color schemes or for the tech savy you can do it to your liking. Tv is speedy and snappy

I have only owned Samsung or LG TVs so this was my first TCL. Love the Google Operating system as it links nicely into my Google Home App and was very easy to set up. PlayStation 5 looks absolutely amazing on this TV. For other Apps, it took several days to get the picture calibrated to my liking...a lot more work than I have had to do on other TVs. The one con I have with this TV is that the viewing angle is terrible. Anything more than 2 feet to one side and the picture color and quality drops dramatically.

Skeptical at first, but after my son showed me detailed reviews on Alex tvs- I have to say this is a bargain. BB had the unit on sale and then discounted an additional $200 after purchase with price match. Excellent for watching tv and having. Good sound. Only drawback is a slightly narrower viewing angle which does not matter in his room configuration.
