This television produces a really nice image especially HDR. To borrow a term from online reviewers very “impactful”, because it gets very bright. DSE is almost nonexistent. I’m sure there are televisions that produce better images, but they cost a lot more, at least twice the price. IMHO paying more than 2000.00 more for an incrementally better picture, just doesn’t make sense. Realistically, there have to be compromises in order to produce such a stellar image at such a low price; that compromise is functionality. At its best a television should “just work”. My QM7 rarely “just works. Two recurring problems plague it. The television periodically loses connection to connected peripherals. One day you turn it on and the sound bar connection has been lost, the next day the Dish network receiver is lost. Some days bright HDR images are accompanied by an irritating humming noise. The brighter the image the higher the frequency. For two months I’ve been trying to convince customer service that the television isn’t working properly. They’re always polite and sympathetic, but the tv still isn’t working. It’s a really nice television, but very frustrating. Not sure I can recommend it.

Replaced an 82" Samsung (QN82Q70RAFXZA) with this TV. So far, after about three weeks, I have absolutely no regrets. I've been a lifelong Samsung guy when it comes to TVs, and I was definitely a little reluctant going with a TCL (especially as our primary TV). But after A LOT of research and a leap of faith, I have to say - this TV has proven to be just the upgrade I was looking for. A great size with a terrific picture, and all without breaking the bank!

I love this TV 98QM751G. I replaced my 4 year old high end Sony LED and this TV blows it away. And the blacks are fantastic like everyone on youtube says, but you do need to adjust your Dynamic Contrast and Local Contrast settings to at least low to get them. Personally, I like Local Contrast-High and Dynamic Contrast-Low. Out of Box, if you set your Color Temp to -4 while in Movie Mode, that will get you closest to the correct 6500K grayscale. I used to calibrate TVs back in the day and still have my equipment, so -4 was the best setting on my display before i dialed it in perfectly using expert menu. I haven't paid attention to the audio because I use my home theater audio to watch everything. Based on video, I would highly recommend this TV given the price point and quality.

I got the 98" QM7 to replace my ultra short throe hisense px1-pro. It takes a bit a calibration once done it looks great. There is one issue and thats arc. It seems to have an issue passkng audio though arc. I had to connect sound bar to another tv and back into the TCL to fix this issue. Other than that the TV has been great. Delivery was good too

This TV exceeded our expectations. My husband and I visited Best Buy, initially looking for something smaller. There wasn’t a model of this TV on the floor that day, but the technician recommended it to us, comparing its specs and performance to a much more expensive Samsung. We read some reviews and took a leap, never knowing exactly what we were getting into. While waiting for the TV to arrive and moving into our new home, we visited Nebraska Furniture Mart, and wandered into the TV department to browse. We turned the corner and saw a TV so large with a profile and display so beautiful, it stood out from everything else. It was staggering to be honest. It took us a moment to find the label. To our shock, it was the very model and size TCL that we purchased from Best Buy! We were amazed. Since then it has arrived and the Geek Squad installed it. We couldn’t be happier with the purchase and Best Buy’s wonderful support and recommendation.

I was very hesitant to buy this brand. I have had 95% Sony, 5% Samsung for the last 30 years. I LOVE SONY. This is replacing an 85" 5-year-old Sony. I am impressed by the quality of this TV. Picture is outstanding, as good or better than my Sony had, great contrast. Colors and blacks aren't bleeding over. Built in sound bar is surprisingly good. Good HDMI port selection, one change I would make is not to have a 60HZ port, make it 120hz. Settings where good out of the box, a little tweaking and it's fabulous. I added some Sonos product's; you have to go into settings and "turn on" the ARC feature for it work. Took my several frustrating minutes until I read the provided material. Most TV don't come with as good of a paper instruction as TCL did, good job. This was good I got a 65" also for a gift. They love it. Best Buy delivered and mounted this for us, perfect job, best install experience I've ever had.

I bought the 98" TCL TV a few months ago, and I'm absolutely blown away. The picture quality is stunning—sharp, vibrant, and incredibly immersive. It was easy to set up, and everything from streaming to gaming looks amazing on this massive screen. At first, I wondered if 98" would be too big. Nope—now, anything smaller just feels tiny. Watching movies feels like having a theater at home, and even everyday TV shows have a whole new level of detail and depth. If you're on the fence about size, trust me: go big. You'll never want to go back.

This thing has been amazing. Much better on picture and sound than our previous 75" LG. The brightness difference is honestly unreal. Many shows were hard to see on our LG, but this thing makes it easy! It also has a much better OS configuration. It operates much faster from startup to app selection to actually playing shows. The home page "continue watching" that groups shows you've watched recently from several apps is a huge plus as well!

AWESOME TV!!!!!! I have it in my game room, so movies and games look amazing on it!!! It is a bit heavy so make sure to have at least 3 people help you with it. I mounted it on my wall but would also look great on the stands it comes with.

This huge screen looks awesome in our living room, the sound and quality picture are really good the remote control comes with lots of features what makes it easy to use, the illumination in the dark makes it easy to navigate, I enjoy watching muisic videos without the necessity of buying a sound bar. Nothing to envy other brands.

This TV exceeded my expectations, colors are bright and vibrant and blacks are ABSOLUTELY black, Sound is VERY good as well. You are not going to find a better tv in this price, especially if its on sale:)

Best bang for buck available. Primary liability is direct light reflections can be somewhat distracting. Took care of that with a smart bulb. Colors pop and blacks are deep.

This tv is close to the top notch competitors. And when the price is about half of what the competition is going for its a no brainer!! I have been a long time samsung tv owner and was a bit scared to try something different. I have been very impressed with the picture quality although not quite as deep as a samsung but overall I would make the same decision to buy this tcl. Getting a tv of this size under 2500 with the quality that comes with it is a awesome feeling

Solid tv for the cost and size Best Buy purchase was horrible tho completely a hastle from day one many hrs on phone for a price match missed delivery’s 0 support and a Horrible install

Great picture, easy to set up. Sounds amazing with TCL surround sound. Easy to load apps and sound bar. Easy to mount with a helper!!

At first we were disappointed with the quality. A lot of movies seemed grainer and honestly not that great. We were going to swap for the Hisense u8k 100in but TCL dropped the price again and we decided it wasn't worth it to upgrade. I think some of these lower priced 100in tvs will just have a bit of screen blurriness if you will because they're so stretched out. On anything 4k and hdr etc it looks really good.
