TCL has been hitting rhe market hard with their mini LED tech and it ahows that theyve really spent alot of time with R&D, because this QM7k is seriously impressive. I originally had the Hisense U7QG on order, but after seeing both the TCL and Hisense next to one another at my local Best Buy, I ultimately made the decision for the TCL. The QM7K is mindblowingly bright, even at night with toned down beightness, everything just pops. The black levels are almost OLEDlike thanks to the new Crystglow HVA panel (TCLs own designed tech). The local dimming on this TV is top tier. I noticed blooming in just one scene, and thats when i was genuinely trying to get it to show any trace of blooming. IMO this is a better presentation of local dimming than Samsung, Hisense, or LG can come up with and honestly rivals Sony… its that good. TV audio is decent, much better than pretty much any attempt from other companies, save for maybe Sony’s bravia 9. If youre looking for an increible 98” tv, get this. It has reprogrammed what I think about looking for in my TV set (im usually a TV snob). TCL is definitely on my “must purchase” list going forward. Im very impressed!

Fantastic picture. Near OLED black levels and crazy brightness. Add to that the 100" inch screen and I don't think I'll ever go to the movies again! Also, geek squad install was very well done.

Great tv for the price. Great picture quality very good black levels. I also use it for pc gaming and works great.

This TV will blow you away with it's brightness and deep colours. Nearly blinding at night. The gaming features work great, and if you have a dark home theater/media room- this should keep you happy for a very long time. However, in my super bright natural light living room- that was not the case. Despite it's high nit count, it is not enough to outweigh the reflection from windows- causing the TV to be nearly unwatchable during the day as it appears like essentially a black mirror in dark scenes. The product page states this has a "semi matte hva panel" and by semi, TCL means not really at all, actually - in comparison to the next step down (cheaper) QM6K, which does feature a true matte display on the 85 and 98 inch models. While the higher brightness looks incredible at night- for my use case, the 98 QM6K is the better buy.

Such a beautiful TV with amazing picture! This is my first TCL, but it is well worth it. The mini-LED display is crisp and responsive. In a terribly bright room in the middle of the day the TV is even brighter. I got this for a shade under 2 grand and it was the best deal possible and a dream come true. I am a fan of the Google TV platform and it’s perfectly integrated with my smart home. I streamed Sinners the first night and it was phenomenal. I can honestly tell you there’s no need for a sound bar with the Bang & Olufsen audio on here. Highly customizable and premium quality for what I paid can’t be beat. If you’re thinking of getting this TV do it!

The image on this TV is stunning. The black levels and colors rival OLED. TCL has stepped up it's game on this TV and is now a contender in the premium TV space.

First off, everyone that loves movies and having friends over should have a TV this big. Until tech catches up with 100 inch TVs, I feel this is simply the best bang for your buck! Picture is great! No lag while surfing the menu deciding what app to launch or what movie to pick.. wish it was a little brighter with darker movies like dark knight, shows like mandalorian. Bought this tv during a July sale for $2000.00 which is great! So watch out for a sale and buy it cause it’s totally worth it! even at current cost

Great picture. Motion is a little jittery but can be adjusted in settings. 4K Bluray picture is outstanding.

Great value tv with super clarity. Still learning how to use all the features but pleased so far. Working on getting all the settings that are right for us.

For a mini led it still.has deep blacks best of both world bright tv and great color and blacks just like an oled

This is giving me true theater experience. Picture is clear and am co lately satisfied with this TV. Sound from the TV is an amazing don’t really need a sound bar if you are not expecting around the head sound experience.

Amazing TV with great picture quality and contrast through local dimming approaching OLED levels. Its also a great deal for the price it can be got at during specials. However, I have to deduct one star from it because the power supply makes a very faint but distinct humming sound when using max brightness and peak luminance set to high-light/high-dynamic. If you sit more than 12ft away or in an open space you will not hear it but otherwise it is very audible and sometimes distracting in shows/moves when a scene is silent and you are forced to hear the power supply humming.

Superb TV. Blacks and contrast can match OLED. Color accuracy is unbelievable at this price. No issues with connectivity or OS, though I use Apple TV. Only noticeable minor issue with this TV is wide angle viewing still suffers a bit. Otherwise no complaints and it currently is being used and enjoyed on everyday in my family area! Happy with purchase and complimentary Best Buy delivery/installation is the cherry on top :)

I LOVE THIS TV! The picture and color is just breathtaking. I had Best Buy install this due to the size and the guys were great! Not only did they take down my 86 inch and my original bracket they installed a new bracket and hung my tv and it is perfect. I can't say enough about how happy I am!

The colors are bright and vivid to say the least. At 98 inches, it's huge, but picture quality is excellent. The TV speakers are actually the best I've ever heard on a stock tv, although we do use a sound system instead. If you don't own a soundbar or sound system, the speakers built in honestly sound great. Best Buy installed it on our rolling TV stand and the guys were quick and nice to deal with. No complaints so far, it's just an amazing TV.

The TCL exceeded my expectations, but the purchase became a nightmare as Best Buy price match policies are made up not based on truth, but rather their corporate decision, I was told by the salesman and his supervisor to purchase the Best Buy Plus membership to protect the price match for 60 days, this turned out to be not the case as immediately (two weeks) it dropped by $800 dollars but they (BB) would not match the price. I will not be shopping Best Buy again.
