I wanted to completely erase the hard drive on my laptop before I sold it to my friend, and this product was perfect. In fact, it did better than I expected. Often when you delete photos or files you can still recover them, but I couldn't recover a single byte of data. It was ALL gone. I had sensitive files on the laptop, but I'm 100% confident they're completely gone. Talk about peace of mind.

The product has a File shredder. This is nice. It can wipe old hard drives. What I do not like it only works for 1 installation of windows. If you reload windows on that computer you are out of luck.

It does what it is supposed to do. Scrambles information on a hard drive or phone so it can't be recovered. One problem though, it only gives you so many drive wipes. It can wipe one Android phone, one Apple IOS, 10 hard drives and that is all. If you want to do more you need to purchase another license for the product being wiped. You can wipe the whole drive including the operating system or just your data and leave the operating system. Would be perfect if you didn't need to purchase anything else for extra.

Problem: After 2 days of waiting for a response from the TechEmber Support Team I was told that this product does not work on Windows 7. The box states "Completely and permanently erase ALL files, including Operating System from your PC or Mac. When I tried to erase ALL files the product froze and did not work. The TechEmber Support advised; "The Full Data erase feature is intended for Advanced Users with knowledge and understanding specific to their make and model of computer and how to make it boot from a USB drive"

This product only allows a certain amount of hard drive erasures. Was a waste of money buying the product, doesn't even come with a CD but you have to download the software even though this product is sold in a box giving you the impression that there is a CD-ROM inside. Will never buy from this software software manufacturer again.

Appeared to clean all open space on my old notebook hard drive after I refreshed windows. Instructions were a bit cryptic, but got through them and it worked.

Used this on an older computer before I gave it away. Wanted to protect my data on it and wipe it clean. Worked great, easy to use, recommend this for cleaning older hard drives or before giving away any computer.

It didn’t serve its purpose. Unless I did it wrong but it didn’t erase everything

I purchased this software to wipe out some old laptops. It did not work. Could be it was previously used as the box appeared to be opened before.

I got a new iPhone and didn't want to trade in my old phone with just the "factory reset." Using erase data, I was able to safely erase my personal data and sell my phone without worry. I wish they offered this as a service when I bought my phone, I would have simply traded it in instead.
