Customers are pleased with the Omnidirectional Flat-Panel HDTV Indoor Antenna's reception, picture quality, and ease of use. Many also found it easy to install and appreciate its compact design. However, some customers noted that signal strength and range could be improved, and a few felt the price was high. The optimal placement of the antenna for best reception also required some experimentation.

Very pleased with this indoor antenna and it picks up crystal clear for HD channels. Can be disrupted when it rains or storms and cloudy conditions, but over all I'm happy with this product.

I used to have TIme warner cable and recently removed that service and switched to TERK - Omnidirectional Flat-Panel HDTV Indoor Antenna. I am 20 miles from downtown Austin and the reception is superb. Highly recommend!

Works Great But not Omni-Directional For Me

Tried several other indoor antennas but my TV did not recognize any signal from them. Although they all said HDTV, I discovered that the box must have the words Digital Antenna. So while in my local BB store, I looked at the Terk brand. It did say "Digital Flat Antenna" but it did not give the distance rating on the box. All other digital manufacturers did put the distance rating on the box. Fortunately, Terk had their 800 support number on the box, so I called them before purchasing. Of the 2 Terk models BB had on the shelf, one product was rated at 25 miles and the other was rated at 50 miles. Bought the 50 mile unit. You need to look for the antenna's distance rating, or call support if it is not on the box.
The antenna is supposed to be omni-directional (Definition: sending or receiving signals in all directions). However, I found that it is not omni-directional. Had to try several positions before being able to pull in the max # of stations in my area. Once the antenna was situated in the best position, reception was great and got more stations than I knew existed in my area. The included signal amplifier was needed in my case, as I couldn't pull in as many stations without it.
I like its slim design. I also like the fact that there are mounting bracket notches in the antenna's housing. So in my case, I didn't need the (optional) mounting stand.
Designed & Engineered in the USA, but manufactured in (drum-roll, please!) guess where...
...China (of course).

Good reception. Clear picture. Picked up most Chicago stations. I like the size. Great if you live in an apartment and can not put an antenna on the roof. Easy to take with me where ever I move. Even looks good on an end table. Just what I needed. Would be great for a dorm room.

We were using regular bunny ears to get TV signal but would cut out frequently. We bought this in hopes of solving the problem. I will say the signal is much better but if we walk through the room it still cuts out the TV even with the antenna in the window as recommended. Thing cost 80$ I would say it's worth closer to 40 in terms of performance.

We receive a lot of stations with this antenna--all local stations but Channel 5 (which we get with a different Terk antenna in another part of the house, though it doesn't pull in channel 8). Picture is very clear, but it is used with a Sony Smart 4K TV. I do miss HGTV and some of the other channels available on cable and satellite, but I'm tired of paying $1,000+ every year to watch TV. If there weren't a few evenings that the picture becomes somewhat pixilated on certain channels, this would definitely be a 5-star review.

I live in a city (Denver) and thought I would be able to get away with an unamplified antenna. But my house faces east, the television is in the front of the house, and the broadcast towers are all west of me, so the signal has to pass through several brick and plaster walls. So, the unamplified one was very choppy even on the main broadcast channels. This antenna does work enough better than the unamplified one that it was worth the extra $, but it still doesn't get all the "core channels" solidly (ion and channel 2 are choppy). Someday I hope to try it on the west side of the house to see if its really just a problem of the extra walls the signal has to go through, not the antenna itself. The antenna is very easy to install.

I have good really good reception about 75 percent of the time but am frustrated the rest of the time. I try to move it around but that doesn't seem to help. I keep it in the upper part of the window near the TV. I can't figure out if it is rain or wind that bothers it, but it really pixcilates a lot sometimes----usually during football games. I can't figure out if something nearby is interfering or what the problem is. The rest of the time, the picture is really good quality. To be fair to the antenna, I have a friend with the same one positioned in a lower window and she rarely has any problems.

I bought two of these antennas, one for my girlfriend's house and one for my house that are 10 miles apart. We first set hers up and was really surprised at the number of channels she was able to pick-up, and the quality of the picture. However, she was not able to pick up NBC.
I was excited to get home and set mine up, but unfortunately I wasn't able to pick up half the channels she did, and none of them were NBC, ABC, CBS, or FOX. I did not keep mine.
When it is able to pick up your desired channels, the picture quality is impressive. Give it a try and see if it works for you. If not, you can always return it.
I would have given it 4 or 5 stars if mine had worked as well as hers.

I am sure some of the cheaper models would do just as good as this Terk model but we did not try them out. I like this one much better then the noticeable flat ones that stick on a wall or window. Like with any antenna, you need to try them in different places and this one is no different. First place only picked up 21 OTA channels but upon moving it to a corner outside wall, we were able to pick up 28 OTA channels.

This would have been a great antenna to have in my home. It has a sleek design, an easy set up, and the price is pretty good. Unfortunately, where I live, the antenna wasn't strong enough to work for me. So I had to return it, but I plan to buy it again if I move to a place where it would work for me, as again, I really liked it.

This new antenna is a million times better than the bad old one. I have less problems with this one. I live in an area that has gets interference from helicopters and small planes flying over my home that interferes with the broadcast signal, and this new antenna brings the picture back in an instant after the helicopter or small plane has passed. I have a perfect picture every time I turn on the TV. When I had my old antenna, I had to constantly move it whenever I changed the channel. I don't have that problem anymore. I don't have to move this new one around.

GOOD: Simple set up, functions as advertised, antenna housing thin and moderately attractive if visible in your set up.
Could be Better: Product components could be of better higher quality, amplifier seems fragile, coax could certainly be stronger/bigger gauge. Price, I believe compared to other amplified antenna, this one is $20-$30 over priced compared to comparable product offerings.

I purchased this antenna because the brand I have purchased in the past was either not in stock or no longer carried. I have been adding over-the-air antennas to each of my and my parent's T.V.s so we would have coverage in the instances when satellite was out. This works fine, although it is more expensive than some yet picks up the same number of channels.

Purchased this in our pursuit of total cable freedom and have to say it's been a great buy. The reception is great and the amount of channels it receives is well worth the money. At last count we were at about 75 or so. The only negative I've found is having to move it around every once in a while to perfect the reception.

Installation is very easy. I like because you don't need to post it to a wall. Reception is good. Because different stations use different towers all around your home, you can actually change the directions to get better receptions. You can't do this with the wall mounted indoor antenna. Price is reasonable...
