Did NOT work right out of the package. Had to contact TI support and get a new battery sent out. Been working for a week since, hopefully it keeps working. High price for ancient tech. Stupid to use a calculator in school when nobody in the work force uses these.

I have been using Texas Instruments calculators for school since the mid 90's and was never disappointed. Since deciding to continue my education this fall I was more than happy to purchase another. After seeing that now the recommended calculator has a color display option, I was excited about this addition to my school supplies. Bring able to distinguish the different equations by color coding has been very useful. Not to mention the colors are very sharp. I definitely recommend the TI-84+ CE Graphing Calculator whether it's main function will be as a tool for school or work.

Great updates! My previous calculator was a TI-83. Since this calculator is not used every day, I no longer have to worry about whether or not I forgot to take the AA batteries out of the TI-83 calculator since it has its own lithium ion battery. Screen: Vibrant colors, especially useful when graphing for convenience and accuracy. Adjustable brightness of the screen is a great feature. Battery life lasts a very long time. Charger is versatile and can be used with a wall outlet and usb for added convenience.

I bougth it for my daughter and she consider it very good, helpful and easy to use. I can not belive they have to use and buy this when they have an smartphone or a tablet on hand! But this device cover the needs and maybe is an overkill for the real use they actually have

Needed this for class and it was ready for pickup in less than a day and works great. Loved how it was 50 bucks cheaper than other stores too.

After asking my son’s Integrated III math teacher what the difference was between this one and other similar calculators. He recommended this one. It can be used for the next 5+ years at least. His own high school son has this exact calculator and it works perfect for his needs. To me that’s the best answer. It came straight from the teacher himself not a sales guy that has no clue. Also, while purchasing this in the store, another person was there buying the same item(adult) for a college level class.

Love this calculator!! I’m using it for the first time for my Statistics class.. It looks intimidating at first with so many functions on it but if u take the time to learn how to use it.. it’s actually pretty easy and user friendly. I’ll be able to use this calculator for other classes as well.. Like for Chemistry and other similar science classes and upper Math classes as well. My TI-84 Plus CE is very reliable and will be part of my learning essential in years to come..

Replaced my old TI 84 with this one and does the job perfectly fine. Same functions as the old TI 84 except slimmer.

Had one of these when I was in high school and college, now it's time for my kids to need one. Purchased this through the curbside pickup option. Was ready super fast and the pick-up process was easy. Have had it for a couple weeks now and there are no complaints from my kid (who is the user). I highly recommend keeping the book that comes with it as there are detailed instructions on how to use the different functions. Oh, and the screen (which was black-and-white when I used it) is now very colorful.

Excellent for any age. My daughterseventh grade pre-AP algebra teacher recommended this for her. They use a similar model in school, this one is in color which makes it easier for her to see the differences and graphing. She loves it and it is acceptable for ACT/SAT and it will carry her through college. My son Is seven years older and I bought his, the older model, 7 years ago and he still uses it although he would prefer the color and the charge-ability Of this one over buying batteries.

Yes it’s complicated to use but only because it’s so smart that it can do so much for you. It’s worth it to learn how to use and navigate the calculator as opposed to actually doing all the math yourself. My math teacher showed us how to do the math ourselves in order to show us how grateful we should be to have something that can do all the math for us by simply by entering the data. My most favorite purchase I made for school! I absolutely love it.

I was having a hard time reading graphs on the TI-84 Plus. I needed a calculator allowed by my instructors, but I also needed to see the points on my graphs. I came across the TI84 color screen and made the purchase almost immediately. It is a lot easier to distinguish different lines on the graph and to find limits or intercepts. It has all the same features on my other TI84, so there was virtually no learning curve associated with it. There are also some additional programs available for the TI84 CE that I'm excited to use.

Having purchased and successfully used my first scientific pocket calculator, the TI-SR-50 back in 1973, I knew that the state-of-the art TI-84+CE Graphic Calculator would be the one for my high school junior granddaughter. I was right! She likes it very much and helps her compute and solve her math and chemistry problems. It's very fast, easy to use and graphs well. It is an investment that will extend from her pre-calculus class through AP/SAT/ACT exams and into college.

The base calculator, the TI-84, is the standard against which others are judged. Since it is the required calculator at most major universities, you can be sure that it does everything you want or need. In addition to the great graphing features, the color version adds the ability to more easily interpret multiple graphs lines on the same graph. The color feature is worth it for the overall clarity and flexibility. This is our third, for our third student (so far), and we continue to be pleased with it. Highly recommend!
