Customers are saying

Customers highly value the engaging gameplay and portability of "The Binding of Isaac: Afterbirth+", frequently praising its replayability and extensive content. However, some players find the game's difficulty challenging and the controls require adjustment. While the unique art style and dark story are points of discussion, many appreciate the overall fun and engaging experience.

This indie game for the Switch is a creepy, and super creative. It's hard but super fun. A throwback to the classics and as fresh as apple pie.

The Binding of Isaac should need no introduction. This game has been around for a number of years now, and on a variety of platforms and devices. This isn't the first time the game has seen life on a portable system, but for new Nintendo Switch owners - you'd be hard pressed to find a game more addicting and enjoyable than The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth+. The title is in reference to the expansion that came out for the game, and this Switch version includes all the latest content and items. There's a wealth of items to find and monstrosities to destroy, and being portable just makes it all the more sweet. Ideally, I'd recommend this game as one you buy digitally, for the quick and convenient "jump in" gameplay that digital distribution provides, but early adopters of the retail release will be rewarded with a pretty nicely made instruction manual and sticker set. Besides, I'm a sucker for having everything retail where possible. Overall, if you've never played this game before, I'd recommend checking out a few videos on YouTube and seeing if it's your cup of tea. Seasoned Isaac gamers will know exactly what they're getting themselves into here - but if you already own multiple copies of this game, you might want to wait for a price drop. However, the idea of Isaac on the go is something I couldn't pass up!

My first time playing the Binding of Isaac was with the Nintendo Switch version. I had heard countless things over the years since it's original release on PC, but had still never played it. Needless to say, after playing Afterbirth+ on Switch, I've completely fallen in love. This is absolutely a must buy game for the Nintendo Switch if you have not already played it.

So this game is a spin off of the story of Abraham and Isaac in the Christian bible. I mean.. if you’re a satanist or an atheist, you’ll be thrilled. Otherwise, pretty cool game with seemingly endless levels and even on the “easy” setting it’s still challenging. Only got a 4 out of 5 because I felt they pushed the satanic agenda a bit too much. Got it on sale. Good value.

I always wondered what the fuss was about with BOI, but when I finally caved and bought it for the Nintendo Switch, I found out. It can just suck the time out of your day(in the best way possible). This type of game isn't something I would have expected to like, but it's just so addicting, and there are always cool little things that make each play feel new.

Review for the launch edition with extras. It's been far to long since I've seen a manual in a game the stickers are nice and the thing I love is the double sided insert. I don't know why but I as of 12/31/2017 I've logged 200hrs into this. I recommend it if you know what you're getting into and this isn't a game for children hence the M rating.

Binding of Isaac is unlike any other game I've played, in a matter of a few hours, it quickly became a new favorite. It's procedurally generated dungeons offer 100's of hours of gameplay, and that's only the start. With the new game modes added in Afterbirth+ you'll never run out of things to do. I highly, highly, recommend.

Great way to pick up BoI with all content but I wish I had bought digital. It's hard to control with the joycons but works great with the pro controller.

If you've never played a "Rogue-like" game, prepare for lots of restarts. In an homage to classic 2d Zelda-like games, combined with the dual stick shooter gameplay, BoI:A+ gives you hours of frustrating and oddly addicting fun. The first few dozen times through, you'll fail to make the last level, as you slowly unlock power-ups that will have a "chance" to appear in future playthroughs. There's a lot of skill and coordination needed to be successful right away, but with a little luck, you'll get a combination of items that makes your little sprite a beast, allowing you to power through the initial few levels and face the "end" boss to reach the first ending. I say "end" in quotes because you only unlock the real thing after beating the first end boss. Beyond that, there's a coop mode that sacrifices a heart to spawn a second player controlled floating companion, which is both either a blessing or a curse depending on the player (you may sometimes have been better off keeping that heart for yourself). There's also challenges, both daily and unlockable, that put you in a very specific character build for that playthrough. And then there's the brutal endless mode that spawns new monsters every couple of seconds. This game is brutal! I hate playing it, but I can't seem to stop myself. It's such a simple concept of a game done so well that you end up addicted to it.
