The blu ray is pretty good. still has film grain. Its the blues brothers. CLASSIC movie. Pretty sad that most of the cast members have passed away.

So I have been a fan of Blues Brothers ever since my dad made me watch it in my youth. It's a 5-star movie for me. The steelbook here while nothing fancy wise was the same price as the regular release so I opted for the Best Buy exclusive. The video looks the best it has ever, but it's the DTS-X surround audio track that completely wowed me! I never heard anything like that since the 2001 4K release. It's absolutely ferocious and monstrous. The Blues Brothers has never sounded better and I don't think it's possible to ever improve upon this release.

My review of The Blues Brothers is for the Blu-ray only and not the 4K. The picture is warm and vibrant with colors in many scenes and doesn't look at all dated film wise. The music which is as important as the visuals are also a stand out on this. This also contains an extended version which is nice to have but not entirely essential with the exception of seeing John Lee Hooker's performance in it's entirety. Priced at a very reasonable low price for a 4K and a Blu-ray combination. A definite must own. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

I have loved this movie for as long as I can remember with classic lines, great music and a great cast of characters. The bluray cleans up the picture about as much as it can be and the sound is great. There is an extended version on the disc that integrates the extra scenes with the theatrical release but it is a little obvious where the scenes are added because the color is not corrected to match the rest of the movie. The digital code said that it was expired but I was still able to redeem it so that's helpful This replaces the DVD version I already had and will be watched pretty regularly.

I remember watching this a few times when I was a kid. There are lots of memorable moments, but the core of the movie is a series of musical performances that don't resonate with me. The plot is simple, but not very good. You empathize with the character's desire to save the orphanage, but not with the characters as individuals. The 2 car chase scenes are very good and are the best parts of the movie, but you can watch them on youtube.

This is one of my favorite class 80’s movies. Finally in 4K. Included is both the Regular AND Extended movies and both in 4K which is great. The digital code is 4K which is great. However NONE of the streaming services have it in 4K so you can only stream in 1080P. Disappointing. Also the digital code only redeems for Regular version, even though Extended is also on streaming you don’t get it with the redemption.

From the moment I popped it in and when the music came on from the opening titles, I knew this was an upgrade well spent. I previously had the standard Blu-ray version and immediately preordered this when it came up. Glad I did. For me it was more of an audio upgrade that I noticed with the new DTS-X mix that really enveloped me. The picture showed more clarity and color depth than I had seen before. Recommended!

I grew up watching this movie on tv and while I enjoyed it, it never looked great. I decided to grab this release because it was so cheap and I had not seen it in years. Watching the opening credits it looked ok. Definitely better than what I was used to, but the image was soft and grainy. Once the credits are over though, the image quality goes way, way up. Very surprising. Very sharp. Looks great.

I have always loved this film and Blues Brothers 2000 for all the music and the people who sing in it. But Blues Brothers in 4K with 7.1 sound is clearer than ever before. It is crisper in sound and I heard things I never knew of the music. I love this film and will watch it then the sequel like I did. I wish both films were on 4K Have already been recommending them both to friends

This steelbook has the best artwork the blues brothers has had on physical media. The stained glass mirror design that both the front and back have is perfect for the films & brothers motif “where on a mission from god” that immortalizes the brothers like you would an biblical figure and the blues mobile gets the same holy treatment. Phenomenal film that has aged like wine.

Blues Brothers really fires on all cylinders. It's at once a redemption story, a hilarious comedy, and a heart-warming tale of the little guys going up against the Man and winning. Of course, it's more than that, too, including a time capsule of some of America's most famous blues musicians and a record of classic performances by Belushi and Aykroyd (saying nothing of those by Carrie Fischer and John Candy). It's endlessly watchable... and quotable.

I am always amazed at the quality of 4K disks. I have been replacing blu-rays of my favorite movies as soon as they come out. I had two versions of this movie before the 4K came out, but I bought this one, anyway. It was well worth it. The picture quality is outstanding. Also, this edition of the film seems to have material I have not seen before. Highly recommended.

Everyone has seen this legendary movie and knows how great it is. The quality of the resolution of this product is exactly what you hope for to add to your video collection. The publisher took their time to produce a quality 'hi-resolution' version of this classic. Great for your home theatre experience. No Regrets in this purchase.

Being a fan from childhood I had to upgrade this to 4K during the sale best buy had. Picture quality looks great still film grain has this was shot on film and for the age of the movie it looks great. If you have a good sound system this play perfect that is one of biggest upgrades for sure. If you are a fan this is the best it will look out there.

It has everything, like. literally, everything you need to see in a Blues movie like singing and dancing throughout, insane car chases with the police, a slew of well-known celebrities making appearances, and just a fun romp!
