Customers are positive about the game's gripping story, immersive gameplay, and multiple endings, with many praising the well-written narrative and effective use of jump scares to enhance the horror experience. The replay value is also highlighted due to the branching narrative and impactful player choices. However, some players expressed minor concerns regarding the control scheme. Overall, the positive feedback on the story and gameplay significantly outweighs the negative comments about controls.

Great graphics. The story is wonderfully written my only 2 complaints are the voice acting is bland and the controls aren’t that great. And considering how many quick time events you have to do. It’s crucial to be able to press buttons accordingly. But it’s worth it and it’s a great entry to an anthology.

I bought this game for my daughter, and she absolutely loves it. Not only is the story interesting, and it has great graphics, but it also has very good jump scares. She honestly can not put the game down, and quite frankly I don't blame her for not doing so. Would very much recommend to someone else.

This game is well written with a great thriller story that really pulls you in. My issues with it are the length, it’s only a few hours, and the AI. Walking around feels like a chore sometime and the heartbeat QuickTime event is horrible that can be impossible to get through. Hopefully they fix those in the upcoming sequel. The movie night mode is a great addition to a game like this because you can enjoy it with more people, turning it into a multiplayer experience.

Man of Medan is a good story heavily driven on the choices you make in the game. The controls are simple and the graphics look great. Feel's like your playing thru a movie. Especially fun when playing with multiple friends be it online or at home. Definitely recommend if your looking for suspense and horror in your game with well written story line and plots.

This game has terrifying twists and turns. It puts you in charge of the story by having you make all of the choices along the way. Each choice you make can drastically change the outcome for each character in the game. You can play many times and end up with different results each time. Great experience!

This game was the perfect sequel to Until Dawn. Even though it was less mystic in horror, this game improved on dialogue, story, and gameplay to be a pretty good successor to its prequel. I’ve beat it twice with two completely different endings. I’m also playing on two different saves. The Curator’s Cut adds a lot more detail.

this is a great game, i look forward to the next installment in the series. i would give this a 5 , ut it's fairly short. about 6 hours of game play. there are multiple endings though, so it does have a few good replay values.

Cons first: slightly clunky movement of the characters, very slow movement as well
Pros: short so it doesn't take up much of your time. Many varying story lines so combined with the length it is highly replayable.

I’m a fan of mystery and horror games so this sounded promising. So far however after hours of game play I’m already feeling a bit bored. The adventure and guiding your characters’ decisions is great especially how it changes the “traits” the characters have however it just feels so slow. After this much time of gameplay I would usually expect to feel further into it than I am. Still a good game in terms of the story, mystery and somewhat horror; I just need to say though that if you don’t have much patience this isn’t going to be high on your list.

If you wanted pretty much the same aesthetic and feeling of Until Dawn, this will fill the gap (if a sequel ever comes out). Supermassive's PlayLink and VR games never really reached the bar it set but Man of Medan ambitiously tries.
Besides the fact that about a third of the game is locked behind a pre-order (free update later this year) or multiplayer playthrough, there's a lot of fun trying to keep everyone alive. Characterization and story is a bit lacking considering that it's about half as long (half the price as well) compared to Until Dawn. However, with access to the Curator's Cut, playing an alternate take does provide more insight and different character beats on the canon lore.
Graphics are par for a PS4 game but some bugs like lagging and janky character animations persist. Hopefully with more updates on the horizon, the overall presentation will be smoother but as of now it's a good enough experience to satisfy those looking for a premium CYOA game.

great story driven game with plenty of options on how the game will play out
you can play with multiple friends at a time on couch coop or online multiplayer
or you can play the whole story alone which brings more of a challenge but still fun

People may remember Supermassive Games from their past success this console generation with Until Dawn. While Man of Medan is not as impressive and long as Until Dawn, it is an overall enjoyable game. What elevates it over just OK is the fact that you can play this with a friend. It was really fun to see not only the consequences of my choices unfold, but also deal with the choices of my friend. After finishing the game over two sessions, I am eager to go for another playthrough to find collectibles, and explore other choices. If you intend on playing this only solo, it is a harder sell, and I would suggest waiting for a sale.

If you played Until Dawn, one of the best butterfly effect games, you’ll want to pick this up. The game is as fun even though it is a shorter narrative, however, to me a find a shorter narrative more attractive as you’ll want to play this over and over for the different outcomes. If you’re looking for a solo or group game to play with even non-gamer friends, you’ll enjoy the jump scares and fun of what the story has in for you.
