The movie is great. The audio is top notch. The transfer leaves something to be desired.

This has to be one of Val Kilmers best movies in my opinion.

Val Kilmer, absolutely was born for this roll. To think he had to lobby for it, is just mind boggling. This is a terrific way to either live or RE-live the era, regardless of what poetic license Oliver Stone may have taken. The songs are great and the concert footage can be enthralling. The roll of Kilmer's life should have made him a bigger star, but the movie had mediocre reviews based on what was perceived as Stone's excesses and the movie's length. However, if you're not looking for profundity in script and want to "experience" The Doors and Morrison at his best and worst, this it!

This is a great movie, my wife and I love it! It's brilliantly directed by Oliver Stone, and Val Kilmer's acting is amazing! He looks and acts just like Jim Morrison. This is a great depiction of the Doors and Jim Morrison's life. Just like other Oliver Stone true story films, (like Alexander and JFK), he does a great job of making his films as accurate as possible. I highly recommend this film! Also, two of my personal Oliver Stone favorites are Natural Born Killers and U-turn.

I went to a drive in theater back in 1989 or 1990 to see this movie, i ordered it through Best buy & watching it again was well worth it, plus all the extras tell a awesome story of Jim Morrison

This is a great movie depicting the wonderful and trajic life of Jim Morrison and the Doors. From the poetry to the music to the bitter end this movie spans the Doors' moving career from their meeting to Jim'd death. The choice of accompanying music is unbelievably haunting and Val plays a perfect Jim. Also love the Pam role played by Meg. Top notch.

Watch it... especially if you're a fan. Val Kilmer did an amazing job. He actually sings in the film and sounds just like Mr. Mojo Rising. :)
